Fears Confirmed - 3rd Missed Miscarriage

i am so sorry for your loss. I am in the same boat. I am heading for 3rd miscarriage as haven't seen baby heart beat at my 10 w scan.
It was pretty strong during 8 weeks scan.

Does they suggested any tests and further medication? I am totally blank now .

I'm so sorry hun. Are they going to investigate what is causing the miscarriages?
Have you have your progestrone levels tested in pregnancy?

I took out private healthcare insurance a month or so ago so i will get the doctor to refer me now

I think the NHS would do it otherwise but seeing as i am paying for private healthcare i may as well make use of it

I have not had anything tested so far becuase when i went to see the doc after the 2nd miscarriage he informed me there was nothing that could be tested because it was before 12 weeks

I now know that is utter crap and a lady on this forum has advised what tests i need to be asking for

They should run some test, and next time you do concieve I would demand a progestrone test and make sure the levels are not low. Its one of the easy diagnoises of something that could be causing your missed miscarriages if you suffer low progestrone. I had to be put on progestrone supplements, or my body would have not supported the pregnancy, and from my friends experience with it, the MMC happened around 9-10 weeks everytime till they found out about her progestrone and fixed it.

SO sorry to hear this. did they ever give you any indication that this was going to happen to prepare you? Sometimes they can predict problems on an earlier previous scan. You will get there x x x

My only indication that this was going to happen was because i felt the same as i had with my other two mmc (no symptons), both detected at dating scan

I requested an early scan this time and that was done at 6 weeks and the sonographer said there was a strong heartbeat

I had a feeling things were right again so asked for another early scan. If i hadn't of gone today then i expect i would have found out at the 12w scan

Apparently its not common for a mmc to be detected at 12w but i have had 2 and i am sure this one would have been the same

I was reading your posts earlier but too upset to keep reading them or message back, i'm back now thou as the other half has pissed me right off today so i am in the office pretending i am working

The lady i seen today mentioned a test to see if my blood clots but that was it. A lady on here as suggested what tests i need to request so have a look at all of this thread and you will see what she has suggested

I'm so very sorry you had to go thru that. I'm almost in the same boat you are. I've had 2 missed miscarriages both right at the 9 week mark. I'm 7 weeks 4 days and I hate to say but in the back of my mind I think it might happen again. No loss of symptoms or anything like that, I think it just might be too good to be true. We did make a firm decision not to try again and that if it's not meant to be, it's not. We do hope that this one survives, it would be the best news we could ever ask for.
I hope if you do try again everything is much different and 100% positive! Good luck.
PS I may be over-researching but the newest studies about MMC are looking into embryo toxicity. You may find it interesting.
