Wishuwerehere (holly) - was your HB a planned one? I had Jessica at home, unplanned though I did ask for a HB during my pregnancy but due to a EMCS in 2001 I wasnt supported in that. But as it was a quick labour I wasnt going anywhere and I am so pleased I got a HB

Yeah hb is awesome i'm so glad i had one! It was planned, my previous labour was 2.5 hrs so we were expecting another quick one, and we weren't wrong, this labour was arpund 1 hr 45, so prob would have happened at home even if we'd planned to go to hospital!

Hi there :hi: i'm holly and my daughter florence was born at home on 26th feb 2014 (her due date!) Weighing 6lb 15oz. She's my second, my older daughter isabelle is 4 so it's a bit mad going back to the newborn stage again now!

We're breastfeeding too and i've been having problems with pain on my left side when i'm feeding. How did you know it was a blocked duct hannah? I've spoken to a peer supporter on the phone but thinking i might have to go into the bf clinic next week for some help. (Bfing my older daughter was so easy by comparison!)

I've got a line of pain from my armpit through to my nipple and it's lumpy along there when I feel it. A hot water bottle On it has helped and lots of feeding to drain it. Yesterday it was absolute agony but today it's gone to a 'nice' pain iykwim, it hurts still but I can feel it draining and that feels good! The health visitor wasn't sure if it was thrush but my nipples are fine and Rufus' mouth is clear. Hope you get it sorted soon :hugs:

Hello to all the other mummies

Thanks :) i don't think that's what i've got, it's quite a fierce toe curling pain on and radiating out from the nipple...will def be off to group next week!

All these babies are so gorgeous! Will get a pic of dd today and pop it up later. Right now my hubby (he works at home) has her snoozing in the sling whilst he works so i don't like to interrupt! :haha:

Hi to all you other Mummys :hi: All these baby's are soo adorable!!!

My name is Katie and my little boy Adam was born on 21st February at 02:18 weighing 7lb 9oz. We are currently breastfeeding and so far we have had no issues.

He is my second baby as I already have a beautiful DD who turned 19 months yesterday. I am so excited/terrified to have 2 under 2!!

Here is a picture my gorgeous little guy :) x

Hello everyone. My Valentines Day baby arrived nearly two weeks later after being induced. Jacob was born on Thursday 27 Feb at 12.50am and weighing a dainty 10lb 3oz (on gas and air!). Established labour was just over an hour so all quite quick. Breast feeding is going well but sometimes doesn't seem to be enough for the strapping lad! Even tried formula to top up but still hungry an hour afterwards. Taking each day as it comes at the mo, think I've had a dose of the baby blues but thankfully have lots of family around xx

My gorgeous boys..

Wow 10lb 3oz on just gas and air, no idea how you managed that well done, I had an epidural for 9lb 4oz but then again he did get stuck.

Hi everyone,

My little boy Harry arrived on 8th Feb after a very quick 3 hour labour! He was born 4 days over due date and weighed 7lb 13oz which seemed small to me as my first born girl weighed 8lb 12oz!

I am currently breastfeeding and all is going well although he must be a hungry boy as he seems to want to feed all day long! :haha: at 3 week check he weighed 8lb 10oz

Finding it quite hard work with a newborn and very strong willed 2 year old but I'm sure it will become easier over time!

Wow 10lb 3oz on just gas and air, no idea how you managed that well done, I had an epidural for 9lb 4oz but then again he did get stuck.

Oh no, hope it wasn't too stressful for the both of you. Believe me I wanted an epidural but didn't have time! He was also born back to back

Hi everyone. My little boy, Leo, arrived on 25/2 after a drug free hypnobirth. It was a pretty quick labour, going from 2cm to delivered in just 3 hours! We had a lovely water birth... There was just enough time to fill the birthing pool!

We've had some challenges with breastfeeding. He was quite mucusy and sleepy at first so it was a slow start. He was weighed on Tuesday and hadn't gained anything so I had a major meltdown. We've been on a 3 hourly feeding plan since and I'm delighted to say my little piggy has put on 80g in the last two days. I'm going to try and stop panicking quite so much now

Those of you with older children, how are you keeping them amused whilst you feed? Dd2 has been feeding for an hour and a half and dd1 is watching cbeebies...just trying to think of more exciting ways to amuse her...

Ohh yay :) heyy. I have a feb baby!

Elijah was born on the 23 rd (due on the 8th! !) After a very speedy hour and a half labour. My first wad only 5 so I thought it might be quick, unfortunately it was so quick I didn't get time for any pain relief (don't like gas and air) despite the fact I was in for an induction! They couldn't be bothered to check me over. They were thoroughly useless., a girl in my ward gave birth in the bed next to me after they ignored her telling them her waters had gone an hour ago!! Eeep. Elijah was born weighing 9lb exactly :) so very very lucky to have gotten away without any stitches especially since he had his hand on his head!

Came home the same day, feeding is going great so far, he lost 0.2 % in his first weigh in! Little chunk ahah. Congrats to everyone :) will post a pic soon.

Hi everyone!

My baby boy Paxson James was born on Feb 8 weighing 7lbs 6 oz. I had gestational diabetes during pregnancy controlled through diet and because of this I had to be induced. The induction went well although I was in labour for 12 hours but only pushed for 22 minutes. I named him Pax because it means "peace" which is how I felt the second he was born.

Pax is now 3 weeks old and we are EBF successfully thankfully. His little personality is starting to come out. He is my world!

Hi everyone I am Sacha, I had my baby boy on Feb 9th, as my sig mentions. He was a week late, and came out very anemic. :( So we spent loads of time in the hospital dealing with that. Then I spent tons of time back in the hospital with a pph. We are home and doing well.

I too have had some difficulties with BF, but in consideration to previous babies this time has gone better in a way. The most difficult thing we are dealing with is low production of milk do to the volume of blood I lost, then thrush because of all the antibiotics I have been on for almost three weeks now. But as far as his latch he is a master at it. I don't have to meddle much to get him latched he does better if he just does it

I have a very happy baby and smiles at me all the time, and I do know the difference to gas. He has always been a very bright eyed LO, right from birth. It just seems that he has a very old soul.

It's official, Zoey is a chunk lol got her weighed today at 20 day's old and she is now 9lb 12oz!!!!! 13oz in 8 days!!! Xxx

Ye my little man is a chunk too 10lb 12oz at last weigh in at 3 1/2 weeks, definately feel it after holding him a while

Hi everyone its so nice to meet you all and here your stories :) I really look forward to wetting to know you all over the next few months as we face the highs and lows of a new baby and settling in :) so far putting him down seems to be my challange , oh and I've gotten a lovely UTI which is quite painful , a bought of constipation from taking iron and a pain on my right side just above my c section incision ( think its to do with the poo issue ! )

Other than that all is great here , I'm loving being a mammy and to be honest it still feels like Christmas has come every morning :) still can't quite believe he is here and mine to take care of :) here is a picture of my little man . I hope that everyone uses this thread to talk about any topic relating to themselves as mums and their babies . I hope people can share the good times as well as some of the challenges . And I hope between us all from ftm to experts we can figure it out and support each other :)

Here is a pic of my little one Sean
