 Hi all. I have tried to log on a couple times in the last few weeks but, honestly, this pregnancy sucks. I had very little MS or other early pregnancy symptoms with DD, but this time my MS and exhaustion are off the charts. I’m only just finally able to function without excessive nausea but I am definitely exhausted. And, I’m huge. Seriously, I’m as big right now at 12 weeks as I was with DD at 22 weeks! It’s insane. I’m terrified as to how huge I’ll be at the end!
Right now I feel like a bad mom because I’m utilizing the YouTube app on the Xbox to play “Dave and Ava” and “Little Baby Bum” nursery rhymes. She loves htem, and it gives me about 30-40 minutes where I can rest and lay down without having to chase her. I’m not a fan of over utilizing the tv, but pregnancy is making this so hard!
Thank God I’m on summer break for a few more weeks. I can’t imagine trying to teach feeling like this.
On the positive side – I had my first scan a week or so ago. Baby is looking good, confirmed there is only one (thank goodness! As big as I am I was starting to worry
) and HB and all looks well. I have my referral to do my anatomy scan early September, but when I tried to make the appointment they weren’t booking that far out so I’ll have to call back in another week or so and try again.
Wriggley – oh that’s so scary! But glad all is well!! I haven’t been actively reading, so I might have missed it, what do you do for work?
LunaRose – that’s so exciting that your scan is coming up! Are you showing really early? Or are there other reasons that people are guessing? Coworkers were guessing I was pregnant fairly early because I was so sick, and I suddenly stopped drinking
And now, people are guessing I am pregnant because I’m just showing so early!
With announcements to the family I just told them. My mom and sister I told right away, but with the rest of the family I had a friend make my DD a shirt that said “This Jedi Princess is being promoted to Big Sister” and I shared pictures of it with the family.
Tbfromlv – Yay! I love finding baby’s HB on my home doppler. I bought one with DD1 because I had 2 previous chemicals/early MC’s and I was so anxious. It really helped alleviate the anxiety. This time around I don’t use it as often but about 1-2x a week I check for HB just to keep me sane.
New Mrs W – I don’t know much about Braxton Hicks at this early stage. It feels too soon. Is it painful at all? Do you feel a lot of pressure? If yes to either of those I would call Dr and ask. It’s always better to be safe, I think.
