Ferrous Sulphate

I've just started taken it as told by my midwife. Will it cause my urine to smell? I've been taking it for about a week now and I have to take 2 a day.

I had a pee this morning and there was a strong smell afterward (I don't have an infection and am positive of that)

I'm assuming its just my body getting rid of the extra stuff it doesn't need?

It could be, sulphur does have a smell. If you are sure you don't have an infection its fine. Pregnant pee does tend to change smells (I used to work in a hospital lab... urine was one of the less fun days, especially on the antenatal clinic days! )
