fetal monitoring starting at week 37???

Hi Everyone,
Sorry if you already read this in the "over 35" area, but thought I'd ask here as well:
I just got back from my mw appt. today, which I wasn't too happy about. She's not my normal mw, and informed me that starting at week 37 I would have to have 30 minute fetal monitoring sessions every week since I'm 35. Huh? I never heard anything about this from my regular mw, and I'm bummed. I don't want to do this. Have any of you heard of this?

I've never heard of this. You can always refuse. They can not makebyou do anything you don't want to do. The would have to give me some clear data as to why this is justified and "you're over 35" isn't enough.

If you don't want it, just say "thanks, but I'd rather not". If they try to force you, just repeat what you already said. They can't make you do anything you don't want to, and it does sound unnecessary.
