Our tree usually goes up the first few days in November we're both Christmas mad so we don't need an excuse to get it up early! However, we got married on November 10th and were far, far too busy to shop for decorations and then put them all up... so all shopping for decorations was done the day we got back from honeymoon, November 18th. I already felt sad for how late it was... but it would only be a couple of days now it was ordered right?! Wrong!! Our lights took until TODAY to arrive
hahah anyway so our lights finally arrived which means we can put our tree up!!! Colin proposed to me on the night we put our tree up last year so that was going to be our tradition from now... but the lights took forever coming AND we were still on honeymoon. But next year, the tradition continues... November 15th. Orrrrr we might change it to putting the tree up every year on our wedding anniversary - November 10th
One of the key elements of our wedding was owls (my favourite) and our colours were red, white and aqua/turquoise/pale blue
First, some crappy phone photos!
And now some slightly better ones from my camera... I played around with exposure and all that fun stuff.
This is personalised with our names and wedding date on the back.
(please excuse the dying flowers! They were used in our centerpieces and that's how they look now, over 2 weeks after the wedding. Not bad for the asda clearance sale!)
