Finally success after 5 years unexplained infertility

Oh that’s great ash! We are talking about doing an FET around august, so fx we will be pregnant together for a little while again!! Gage is amazing!!! He is smart, and funny, and gorgeous!! Into everything!! Did you have a big party for the twins? I know your family is across the country, we’re they able to attend?

I've been on bcps for 7 days, this will be day 8, and I've had a headache for 4 days in a row. I'm asking the nurse if she can switch brand and maybe that will help. L and O are getting their follow up flu shot today, that should be fun. I have a suppression check on November 10th then start stims on November 14th. It's happening fast. Tentative retrieval set for November 25th.

Headaches went away after 7 full days of being on the BCPs. I am thrilled! I had my suppression check yesterday morning and we're all set to go for IVF. I have 24 antral follicles, and my blood work came back good. I start my first injections on Tuesday. Menopur 75 units, gonal F 100 units, and dexametasone. I'm excited and nervous. Mostly excited though. I've been on supplements for egg quality for a very long time and we added in the metformin so I'm excited to see if that brings about any egg quality changes. I'm not holding my breath but I am excited.

On another note, we're moving! It's going to be insane and we're hiring movers but we found this beautiful 4bdrm 3 bath home for rent (we live in silicon valley and I'm not ready to buy - it's incredibly expensive) and we're so excited to give the kiddos more space to run around. It has a backyard with an organic garden setup. We move a week after retrieval. Should be fun. Lol! Am I insane?! Also, getting the house will make it easier to convince my hubby to transfer an embryo sooner than June!

I couldn't have imagined moving after my retrievals (I was pretty sore for a few of them - plus we always went for fresh transfers, which you're not doing, right)?

How exciting ash! Moving is crazy. We did it twice in 2 months this summer! But we hired movers for the second(permanent) move and it was so easy in comparison.

bubu - We're not doing a fresh transfer because of CCS testing but also because we need to prep my body for the transfer like we did last time. I did 2 months of depot lupron, so I'll have to do that again ... unfortunately.

Mo - omg 2 times in 2 months, I can't imagine! I think hiring movers is the best thing to do when moving if it's in the budget. I won't ever move the big stuff again myself, it's just too much on the body. I'll still have to manage everybody but we have the nanny taking the kids to the kids museum most of the day so they'll have a great time and be out of the way at least.

I'm on day 4 of stims and had my checkup today. I have 31 follicles growing, I haven't received a call about my blood work numbers but should be receiving that call before 3pm CA time. I'm a little surprised at how many follicles I have growing (I know I'm young blah blah blah) but I definitely expected a little bit of a decline. Nope, not a chance. They are definitely worried about me over stimulating but told me to increase the protein in my diet, and NO BENDING OVER. I'm sad I can't pick up my babies but it's only temporary.

Day 7 of stims and everything is looking good. My biggest follicle is 14mm, smallest is 8mm. They started me on cetrotide this morning and they think I'm going to stim for 11 days so that'll put trigger on Friday, retrieval on Sunday. I'm excited still and starting to get uncomfortable.

How exciting! I would love to have another baby but not willing to spend more $$ on ivf I'm excited for you!

Thanks Mo! I totally get not wanting to spend more money on IVF. If this IVF doesn't work out for us I can't imagine spending more to do it again. I'm trying really hard to not get ahead of myself though so we'll see when the time comes.

Day 8 of stims and my largest follicle is on my right side and it's 17mm. My doctor has told me I'm most likely triggering on Thursday for Saturday retrieval. I'm excited but starting to worry because I'm having minor cramps right now. I'm sure it's fine but I'm just a tad bit concerned. I was very active today (bending down a lot) so now I'm just laying down in bed, resting. I'm still on the cetrotide to keep me from ovulating and should here back from the nurse in the next hour.

Retrieval is on Sunday at 8am. I will trigger tonight with 2500units of novarel at 9pm, lupron @ 10pm and then lupron at 10am. I'm excited and feeling really uncomfortable. My e2 is in the 6000s. Doctor is worried about OHSS but I'm taking all the precautions. I'm eating a high protein diet, drinking drip drop (an electrolyte drink), taking cabergoline, and taking is easy. Not much else we can do. Fingers crossed for a success retrieval and lots of CCS tested normal embryos!

She counted 23 that were within 16-22mm and a total of 15 under 10mm.

Retrieval went well. We got 16 eggs. Less than we thought but I'm really hoping it's quality over quantity. We shall see. I'll get a call tomorrow about fertilization report. I'm in a little pain right now (on a scale from 1-10 I'm about a 2) but that's to be expected. Fingers crossed for a good fertilization report. I'm really nervous about it since we didn't get as many eggs as we normally do.

Got the call from embryology. 16r 12m 12 fertilized through picsi, we have 10 2pns and 2 0pns (they most likely won’t make it but they’re waiting until tonight to make final call). Now I won’t hear anything until Saturday. Gulp!! I’m super nervous but happy with the results so far.
