ann-marie your having a 3d scan at 12 wks? i was told they dont do them till 22 wks, where are you having yours as id love to have one of these

It's actually the Nuchal Scan, but the clinic where I'm going said that they would flick across to 3d for me, as long as I'm aware that it doesn't look like a proper baby yet. Also, if they catch it at the wrong angle, it can look like it has a hole in it's head !!! But I understand all that, I'm still interested to see what my BellyBean looks like at 12 weeks.

She said she can nearly always tell the sex at 12 weeks too, which is really exciting. Dr Victoria Heath, she's a really well certified baby person type thingy.....

Wow Ann-Marie! I only get 3d when I'm about 7-8 months and then I still have to fish out quite a bit of cash for it because my medical aid doesn't pay for those.
But 12 weeks. That's amazing! I'm going for my next ultrasound at about 15 weeks. Give or take a few days. I might only be 14 weeks and 6 days. Oi! Confusing baby I have!
But I've been hoping and praying that the gynae will be able to see what the sex is. I know it's most likely going to be impossible but I'm really holding thumbs! My friend found out she was having a boy at 14 weeks. Now at 35 weeks it's still a boy. She says it's most definately a boy!
So I'm holding thumbs!

It is a pricey scan, but it costs exactly the same as going for it on the NHS, at the local hospital... £180. And there they only allow 20 mins per appointment, and you're just the 'patient after the last one and before the next'. So I know where I'd rather go. Most machines actually have a 3d function on them now, ask at your next scan and see if they'll flick it across for you

wow thats really good, you will have to let us know if you find out the sex. my local hospitail doesnt tell you the sex so ill have to go for a private one but they only do them from 16-18 weeks- groan!

The above is done through blood analasis, but if blood was passing through the placnta to mum, it could in fact be very dangerous (from TAB)

I just checked and both my Boys on the chart were Boys !!!!!!!!!!
And this time it says I'll have a girl !!!

Hi, I've been reading some of these posts and have decided delete the last 2 posts so we don't get sued
There is no proof that this website is a con unlike the 100's out there that are... this is a DNA test that uses the fact that females have two X chromosomes and males have one X and one Y chromosome.
So if a female is pregnant with another female then there won't be a Y chromosome present in the blood sample... if there is then she's carrying a boy (just remember that at 7 weeks the presence of any Y chromosome would only be weak, so the longer you wait the more chance of it being right. If it's too weak then you may get the result 'Girl' when it could still be a 'Boy').
Can I just say that there are 100's if not 1000's of cons and scams on the internet that claim to predict a baby's gender. Please beware!! 99% of these sites make money because there are only 2 possible answers, and even if they offer a money back that guarantees them a 50% profit. If you really really must give one of these sites a go then please just treat it as a bit of fun and do not go buying pink or blue clothes (remember, even scans can be wrong).
