First Birthday

What are you doing/ did you do for you LO's 1st birthday?

We seriously need some ideas!

Think on her actual birthday (a Thursday) my husband and I are going to take her out for the day! Possibly the zoo or similar as she loves animals. We are then planning on having a birthday tea on the Saturday but nothing too grand. I want to do something so can show her photos etc of her first birthday but not spending loads as would rather splash out on parties when she is older and able to appreciate it!

we had a picnic/bbq in the back garden for Nates first birthday, loads of toys spread out on a mat in the sun and plenty of space for the walking ones to run around and nice and safe, nothing too much work and DH could take care of half the food for me lol we borrowed travelcots from friends or had people bring them in case the kids needed naps lol
