first cycle actively trying (June 2015)

Thanks mini!

I actually feel kinda weird. I am barely cramping and have a lighter than normal flow. My husband had to remind me that we thought it could have been twins so maybe only one is passing. Idk. I don't feel like it's over but at the same time I don't really feel pregnant. My tests still have lines but I guess that could take awhile to go away. I'm just feeling really confused.

Hey maybe it worked :) I lost the twin to my son pretty early on before it was even confirmed that I had twins... so it can happen... with my son I had my period and was still pregnant and back then my AF weird was very light and I didn't get a BFP until the month after. So maybe you still are :)

AFM my AF is totally normal... so no hope there lol
But I bought maca root and I'm trying to find a place I can buy Wild Yam root.

Maybe you ladies can help me... how do I take the wild yam root... cause now I read a bunch of stuff about it and I don't know If I take it before or after O.

Oh wow! I never considered a scenario like that, but it makes a lot of sense. So, a lot of women who still get their period while pregnant really miscarried a twin!

Fx for you, Gina!

And sorry to hear how that happened to you, V!

Yeah it's possible.. the second egg couldn't implant right and then I lost it... so yeah that happens.

Hey magicalmom you took wild yam root right? How did you take it?

Ya idk. It's definitely possible. I'm just totally confused at this point. If my tests start getting darker instead of lighter I'll have to find a doctor lol. I believe wild yam root is to be taken after O but I'm not sure. I read something about it when I was looking up natural progesterone creams.

So I thought cassava root is wild yam root and it's supposed to help with hyperovulation... so how would that work after ovulation? I read like two different things with it xD sooo confused... well maca root is definitely good.. I took some and already I'm feeling more energized and calm for some reason :)

Hmm that doesn't make sense. All the different supplements and herbs etc are so confusing!

I know right? Because I looked up cassava root and that's the one for hyperovulation BUT then I checked and found out wild yam root is cassava apparently and then I found other dosage suggestions. ... so annoying. .. I think I'll stay with maca root for now xD

Idk about the root but I guess progesterone cream is made from parts of yams. "There is a substance called diosgenin in soybeans and wild yams that is extracted and then modified in a the laboratory to create the progesterone found in progesterone creams. Your body is not able to turn diosgenin directly into hormones itself. So taking just a soy supplement or using wild yam cream will not have the effects that progesterone cream does. It can be confusing because of soy’s phytoestrogen ability to have estrogen-like effects. But those come from a different part of the plant which is accepted by your body." That's what I was thinking of. Maybe the root is before O and the rest is after? Idk lol.

I found out that you can use wild yam root as a birth control if you take too much... so there is a fine line... I think I'm gonna wait with that lol

Ya better to be on the safe side with that. Anything that says can cause miscarriage or something like that if you take too much I instantly stop looking into lol

Exactly xD I'd be worried that it might keep me from conceiving... don't want that.. I am gonna eat more healthier this month and the maca root plus I have my opks for this time so I have a good feeling about this month :)

I used wild yam all during my cycle prior to TTC and I believe it helped regulate my cycles. Last month, I used it right before O.... then read that it would do exactly what progesterone cream does and keep you from Oing.... and can be used as birth control in that manner.

A few months back, I used progesterone cream during my entire cycle...for one cycle (and this was before TTC), and since then my cycles have gone from 35 day cycles down to 28/29 day cycles.

When used after O, progesterone cream can be very helpful with getting the bean to stick, but you'll have to use the cream for your entire pregnancy (at least until the last trimester), because once you stop taking it, the drop in progesterone signals your body to start AF (or miscarry).

I wanted to add progesterone cream to my regimen (after O), but I know that I don't have low progesterone levels and have not had miscarriage issues, so honestly, progesterone cream seemed unnecessary for me.

Ok thanks magicalmom :) I have a pretty regular cycle so I dont want to mess that up. I've just noticed that when I ovulate it's not very strong and I barely notice it. So I need something for that. Lol :)

I agree. I'm going full force again this month. I've told dh if this month ends in another chemical I give up. We will stop trying and go see a doctor. But I'm really hopeful for the progesterone cream. Going to try to actually cut out monster energy drinks this month too. I always say I will and I've gotten to only having one every 3 days but it's such an addiction it's hard to give up if the end result isn't a baby.

I'm currently on CD13 and should O either tomorrow or in the next couple of days. (I'm thinking tomorrow based on my temp dropping today.)

So, I've decided to start taking a generic brand of Mucinex to help loosen my CM. Honestly, I haven't been producing EWCM on my own. My CM is ALWAYS creamy... from the end of AF...during O...after O...and up until the next AF.

Last month, I used pre-seed, but it didn't work, so this month I'm using Mucinex. I wish I could have started Mucinex a couple of days before, but some sources say its safer to wait for a positive on an OPK than taking it for 5 days straight.

A LOT of women say they got pregnant their FIRST cycle using Mucinex after months and years of TTC.

So, I'm excited to see if I finally get my own EWCM that stretches.

I have read the progesterone only has to be used until about week 16. Then the placenta takes over making the progesterone so you don't have to do it anymore. Either way it's worth a try to me

Gina, I think progesterone is perfect for you...especially for your history with chemicals.

Did you try pineapple juice this past cycle. Isn't it supposed to help the bean stick? I can't remember.

I ate pineapple core for 5 or 6 days after O. It's supposed to help your lining I think. Not sure exactly. I just know it's good for the bean. And I do think it stuck. Just not long enough. So hopefully adding in the progesterone will be the magic ingredient I need to stay pregnant. :)
