I can't offer any advice and the physical aspect of it... only on how you deal with the challenges ahead. If it takes longer to get the plans rolling, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes life gets in the way, but even if it means a delay of several months or a year that really doesn't matter when your LO is a teenager. KWIM? Stay positive and take it as constructive time to focus on yourself in other ways. Attitude means SO much to your happiness and maybe even your ability to conceive when the time comes.

This at least is my personal experience as I went through following:
Summer 2010: wanted to start then. DH wasn't quite on board. Agreed on Oct 2010 to stop taking BC pills.
Oct 2010: was seeing an accupuncturist to transition nicely out of bc pills. With hormones figuring themselves out she advised that my "uterus wasn't ready yet" and to wait 3-6 months. I was crushed but could see the logic behind it as I want to be as healthy as possible for a pregnancy and want the same for my bean.
Feb 2011: Cycle looking good since Jan 2010. 28 day clockwork. Timing not so great anymore though... not a bad idea to wait just a bit longer.
Apr 2011: Cycle is excellent. Timing definately not right. Life.
June 2011: We're ready! Bring it on!
.... And now we're July 2011 -- a year from when this all started -- and I'm staying positive. It'll happen when it happens. :) The main thing is keeping the right attitude through all of this. Sure, I see pregnant people all around me all the time. All of our friends have already had their second+ child. But we know what is best for us and our bodies control the rest.

I don't know if this has been a help at all, but I do wish you the absolute best! GL!

Ohhh where to start.

The things I have read that work & have used (but still waiting for BFP);

Clear Blue Fertility Monitor - pin points OV
Softcups - helps the little swimmers stay put (although just couldne get to grips with these!)
Soy Isoflavones - helps with egg & OV
Royal Jelly - good for general health & fertility
Pre-seed - a sperm friendly lube that also helps the sperm swim through cervix as it mimics the CM that does this job

Stay patient - it doesnt just happen over night, you may be in for a long slog, but then again you could be a lucky one and only take a few cycles to get your BFP.

Good Luck x
