Well, little Leah has her first set of jabs tomorrow and really worried about it!!!

How did your LO's react to them? Were they poorly / unsettled after? Did you have a bad night with them after? xxx

Omar was restless at night, & slept the next day. He dint have any temperature. 2 days back He had his 17 wks jabs, but those were so painful, & his temperature kept increasing & he was moaning & waking up all night.

B cried a bit more than usual that evening and then slept through every night afterwards until last week!!

cried slight;y at jabs, slept all day and a bit moany for a few days but she was generally fine! calpol helped day after!!

Hope the jabs go okay :flower:

Chloe slept for hours after, a bit whiny but not much else.

thanks everyone! Put my mind at ease - just hate the thought of someone stabbing needles in her, but it's gotta be done! We shall see how it goes - they aren't until 5pm so can see a restless night on the horizon! xxx

Mya had a little cry when she had them done, mainly cause she fell asleep when the nurse was talking to me then the first needle was a bit of a shock lol. but she cried for a few mins and had her bottle while we waiting the obligotory 20 mins afterwards.

She was totally fine, her normal chatty self, no winghing, no temp, nothing!

all are different some sleep for ages some dont, some get temps some dont and some it doesnt affect at all.

I hope it all goes well xxx

my lo cried during which was heart wrenching ; wouldnt be so bad if it was just the one injection! once we were home she was fine. one of the injection sites i her thigh got a bit red but that was all. be prepared for the horrible in pain cry though and be a brave mummy for your lo and i'm sure they will be fine.

Lola screamed and because she didn't generally cry much or like that, I burst into tears. The nurse jumped up to console me, not worrying about LO. I felt such a wuss. So, be prepared. If you're not used to hearing your LO scream, it might come as a shock. But it's really short lived and it's more the shock than a severe pain for them. After the jabs, LO was fine and maybe slept a little better that night. Make sure you have some Calpol ready. I got some but didn't need it. Good luck.

This is so true. My LO just had her jabs this morning and iv never heard her cry like that  luckily after a couple mins she settled back down xx

Thomas had his this morning & the cry he let out very nearly broke my heart! Walked him around in the pram for a good while after to settle him into a good sleep & he's still dozing now, 2 and a half hours later. I usually wake him if he sleeps beyond 3 hours in the day - what do you think today? Should I just let him sleep til he wakes or shouldn't I do anything different?

I would just let him sleep but then again I never wake Matthew if he's sleeping lol

His first jabs wern't nice :nope: He let out this really heartbreaking cry and I burst into tears lol He went straight to sleep when we left and slept for a good while but was very unsettled when he woke and cried and cried for two hours but was fine and back to normal after just slept a lot! Second jabs he started to cry but I was better prepared and had his bottle sitting right in front of me which helped lol

H had his this morning, he squealed quite loudly when the first one went in then he stuck his bottom lip out as if to say 'I really don't like you' to the doctor! Then he did the same after the second one and fell asleep straight away once back in his car seat.

Since we got home he's been a bit more moany than usual but tbh he's not a fussy baby at all and hardly cries apart from when he's hungry. He had a bottle earlier than he would usually have needed it and it hardly touched the sides! He's fast asleep now, usually falls asleep himself quite quickly but it took a while just now to go off by himself.
Just hope he doesn't get temp and just sleeps lots.

Hope all goes ok hun, I think it's worse for us than them because we know what's going on! I just looked away when they did it.

Cried such an awful cry when it happened, nearly made me cry too! He was fussy and whingey all day, got a bit of a temperature that night so we gave him a bit of calpol (that we got on prescription) and he slept relatively well. Wasn't so bad the next day, then over it altogether.

I was told its ok to let them sleep through it and ok if they miss a feed xx

My son was really sleepy after his 1st set, but didn't had a temp or anything. x
