Bought my folic acid the other day and went to see Dr this morning about TTC.

Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about irregular really heavy periods when I come off the pill. To be honest coping with this when I work in a male environment and am often out and about is overshadowing the excitiment about ttc. Really dreading loosing the help and control the pill gave me! I know it'll be worth it in the end though.

I asked to whether irregular periods would cause me problems but she didn't seem too concerned, and said charting etc... isn't as accurate as people believe. She seemed to be pushing go with the flow which suits me as I want to take it easy at first. Also I've only been on the pill 2 years so should go back to normal sooner rather than later.

Anyway, she said start folic acid now and see what happens. 3 months to go, though I might cave in 2!

Hey, quite exciting to buy the folic acid. I bought some this weekend. Were not ttc til next year but it was on offer so thought i may as well get some now. Im also on my last pack of pills this month- though ive been on it 10 years so i presume you will become regular more quickly.

Were going to be using condoms for a while before starting to ntnp. Im hoping from xmas but OH is looking at april. lol
