First Time Mommies!!

Hubby and I refer to our baby as little nub.

My hubby is Hispanic so he calls our baby our "Mexican jumping bean." I mostly refer to him/her as "lil bean" though. :)

Jealous!! I just want out of the first trimester really. Won't be so on edge then and will really start to enjoy myself. Plus that's when I plan on shopping lol!!!

We are already shopping all the time  we don't believe in folk lore or superstitions or anything like that so we dont think it is bad luck. we have so far: a mobi wrap, the beginnings of our cloth diaper stash, a "man" style carrier for OH, a snow outfit for a teeny baby, a couple of onsies, and our newest purchase from yesterday is the stroller! we got a german style one we call "the cadillac" :haha: because they normally cost around 700-900 euros...we got ours on sale/close out for 168 euros which is a steal! it comes with a moses basket and a regular sitting up seating system. if we buy the same brand of carseat it will also snap in :)

first timer here also!!!! i'm so happy!!!! i can't wait to tell people!! :)

I think I might start after Xmas. Ill be about 8 or 9 weeks then (which is past the stage I made last time) so I expect I'll feel loads better then. Plus it'll be the Boxing Day and January sales! (Boy did we get pregnant at a convenient time!)

Nobody I know in uk uses cloth nappies but I've considered looking into it. I expect it saves loads of money?

Average cost in a year for disposables is around 1280$ a year so about 3200$ total cost if your child is in diapers for 2.5 years. i will end up spending around 400$ on my diaper stash total cost. plus, if you decide to have a second child you can re-use them. you can also do it cheaper if you go with pre-folds and covers, which are more work to put on, but cheaper in the beginning. I can send you some links to more info if you are interested

Yes please!! :) I dot know much about it cos no one here used them xx

this is a great "readable" website with the basics: https://veggielovinfriends.blogspot.de/2010/05/more-than-you-ever-wanted-to-know.html

I have a favorite cloth diaper blogger, so i will link some of her best videos:

she has a ton of CDing videos that are just awesome. I love the way she explains things...it is plain and simple, and she tries not to let her personal biases against certain brands effect what she is saying. she has even more than this on her channel if you click and scroll through them all. :) hope this helps!

Thank you for the cloth diapering links. I have more ammo to use for cloth diapering.

Thats great!! thanks mrs mabrey!!! :) I know I want to use cloth nappies so will def have a look at those videos later on :) x

just want to put it out there that I don't think anyone is a bad parent if they do choose disposables :flower: i know a lot of cloth advocates get really pushy...I am SO not that person. each family has to make their own choice as to what is better or them and I am no one to judge...this is just my personal decision about what i think is best for my baby :)

So excited to see that other moms are on the cloth diapering train! It took me so long to convince hubby! (We spent 2.5 years ttc so I spent much of that researching). The cloth diapers now are so adorable and so much easier than in the past. The money savings is really what sold DH on the matter though!

Hi all! I'm a first time mummy-to-be. It's still early days but with the amount of morning sickness I'm getting I'm feeling positive. This is my first pregnancy but I am a worrier. :haha:

I think any first time mommy is a worrier. I have read so many book and stalked so many threads I think I am prepared, but every time I get even a tiny cramp I have a little internal freak out.

I think it's that not having been pregnant before I don't really know what to expect. However many books or threads I read. Lol.
