Fisher price rainforest gym monkey

I don't know where to put this post. If it's in the wrong place, please tell me.

My DD2 is really attached to one of her toys. Unfortunately it has to be very small and easy to lose and difficult to replace. It's the little orange monkey that comes with the fisher price rainforest gym. I have had a few close shaves with the monkey being drop or misplaced so I figured it was time to get a replacement. However it seems that you can't get one for love or money.

Does anyone have one that I could buy eventually?

She's is inseparable with Mr Monkey, it's like an extension of her arm.

I was ridiculous for buying rainforest stuff with dd1 I literally became a collector . I'll check when I go home as I kept a lot

If you can find one, it would be great. I did have a look at ebay. A lot of the sellers that sell spare parts for the gyms offer toys but the monkey is always out of stock.
The only ones that are available cost a fortune to post. I do love my DD but spending 25 pounds on a secondhand small felt monkey is beyond me.

Aw, this sucks! I have one, but he's currently attached to the mobile from the same range. I'd happily slice him off for you, were it not for the fact that we're probably going to have more children in the future. Hope you find one soon! I wish my daughter would be attached to something - her favourite soother is my hair! Ouch.

That is so funny that you posted this. My son lights up when he looks at that monkey, just smiles ear to ear. I think it's the fact that the monkey also has a smile on his face.

I recently went to a friends house and noticed that she had a monkey just sitting there. DD jumped on it straight away and walked around the house with it. It took all of my moral strength not to steal it and blame it on DD..

I even called the fisher price hotline....but the monkey is out of stock.

I finally got hold of a monkey!!!! I contacted the aftersales service in AMERICA!! and explained my problem. They told me that they didn't have a monkey but that they would send me the whole playmat for FREE! (I did have a lie down after they announced that) but they would only deliver to the US. Luckily my sister lives in the US and even luckier she was getting married so I had already booked my tickets to see her.

So I picked up the playmat and the very important Monkey.

Unfortunately, fisher price has changed their Monkey - it's only a small change (the ears! the ears!) but my DD2 came across Monkey 2 by accident the first thing she did was touch the ears and then put it aside.

Sigh....

Are you still wanting another one or is the one they've sent ok? I've got one waiting to go to a charity shop which you can have if you do still want it. I've just taken a photo on my phone so you can see if it's got the right ears I'll try and upload it in a second...

Ah that monkey! Kids have an awesome reaction to that lol my dd adored it too!
