So i have 4 now for night time use, they dont look like they would last?
but am i right in assuming that instead of the absorbancy being where the inserts would be, its the whole nappy?

Yeah the whole diaper can absorb. Did you get ones specific for nighttime?

yeah the whole thing is absorbent, but I still dont understand them really...

surely if you max it out the whole nappy will be sodden and it would be like wearing big bulky soggy pants? Thats alot of wet surface area hugging their bums no?

Maybe a fitted specialist can help me out here?

ETA: which ones did u get hun?

Its these ones i got this morning to try...

https://www.babykind.co.uk/huggles.htm

It has fleece all over the inside, so id imagine baby wouldnt feel the wetness all over.

looks like you can use it as a pocket and stuff it with as much absorbancy as you need just using a wrap over it to keep the bed dry lol

id sugest if you think your LO is a heavy wetter then you stuff with a hemp or bamboo insert

ah fleece lined makes sense...should be pretty absorbent then if the whole thing absorbs.

I have used fitteds before, the swaddlebees hemp one and it didnt have any stay-dry properties so it was just a soggy pair of pants

Let me know how you get on! I quite like the idea of fitted, but I used a lollipop fitted today and like twiggy said it was just sodden everywhere and wasn't nice although the material felt nice on his skin before it was wet  . I used a one life and that was much better. Xx

I use motherease bamboo, they don't have a fleece inner so I custom made some fleece liners to fit and slightly longer front and back. I have to say that my LO became a very heavy wetter and we've been strugglingat night till I tried fitteds or even a large bamboo prefold and wrap. Yey the fitteds! Just got some more from kittykins sale! Hope they work for you, x

Well the nappy was definatley very wet, when i picked him up you could tell the nappy was sodden but his clothes were still dry, he had a fleece wrap on over the top.
I think for us because i have an older baby/heavy wetter i will be adding an extra booster for just in case, but the nappy certainly coped for overnight

I like the idea of fleece soakers, they look adorable.

Good to know nappy coped well....hopefully you'l get on with fitteds and can get a fool-proof night nappy solution

Fitteds are fabby!! They are pretty much all i use... I use bamboozles over night as they are all bamboo so really absorbant and his bum stays dry even tho the nappy is wet. I have loads of fitteds that i use during the day without a wrap too and tbh its only really where his 'winkie' is that gets wet.

If your worried about his bum feeling wet then use a fleece liner but they do say using cloth tends to encourage the baby to potty train quicker as they feel wetter than in a sposie so i guess its kinda win win?
