five year old missing!!

Oh thanks...didnt realise he had two vehicles. I mean, i know its dark but there is a huge difference between each type of vehicle. Personally, i really dont think its going to be good news. I agree with the person that said if he had killed her he wouldnt be saying where she is in the hope that he could walk away. Makes you sick. If i remember it said he was in the military..so that maybe would be why he was pictured with a gun.

I've heard that he was only in the military until his early twenties, which is why it's not had much standing in the investigation. Could be any reason, not sure if hunting is a popular thing to do up there? I've never been to Wales (shocking I know)!

The more and more you read..this doesnt really make any sense? He had children that played with April? Infact he has 6 children from different mothers! I mean why take her? Its so very odd isnt it?

They can think he's involved all they want but without solid evidence, he won't be charged. Well, charged yes, found guilty, no. My point is at some point, if they don't find evidence he could be set free.....and that terrifies me, as it does is any case :(

I am 'hoping' it's a family vendetta 'gone wrong' & he did it to punish/get back at the family for something. But as the days pass this becomes more unlikely I think :(

Bridges supposidely took April in full view of another child that would be able to identify him, in an area where anyone seeing what was happening would also be able to identify him or his vehicle (looks like it was overlooked by several houses, and he was 'well known') & he wasn't concerned about being spotted. Just can't get my head around that, trying to make myself think that's a 'good' thing but I just don't know.

I just posted about this on my FB. Having a rant at bloody journos and media commentators. It is horrific that 5 year old April Jones is missing. She is a vulnerable 5 year old away from home and clearly isn't just lost. No parent should have to face what her parents are facing. However, it is not MORE horrific because she has cerebral palsy. She is not MORE vulnerable because she has cerebral palsy. She was capable of being allowed out to play with her friends, riding her bike, so clearly does not have a severe form of the condition. She is not "sickly" she is not "very poorly" and she does not "suffer from " cerebral palsy. She has a condition which means some of her muscles don't function quite as well as other children. Please Sky News et al, do some research before making out cerebral palsy is something that makes a child "more vulnerable" and lets not forget any child in her situation is as vulnerable as a child can be. I hope she is found safe and well and returned to her parents where she belongs.

I think he was trying to scare Aprils parents but word spread too quick and he couldn't go back.

Thats why it didnt matter they knew who he was because thats what he wanted.

I just hope he didnt panic when road blocks went up and everyone started looking

I understand what you're saying but alot of it is tactics to keep up public interest. The whole new approach they are taking to this investigation means they need to keep the public engaged and informed. It is also pretty horrific that Bridger may have known about her condition but still choose to take her iykwim? I don't think it's been reported with the intention to cause any offence.

Also can I just say I believe it was April's godmother who initially gave out this info. And just thinking out loud, it possibly would make her more vulnerable because as we know most 5 year olds are pretty mobile, and if left somewhere would start making their way out of there, supposing there was a way out. What if she can't because the pain is too much? Again, just thinking out loud.

...but the point is she additionally has cerebal palsy which means that she is actually more vunerable. OK she didnt have it severe but it is never the less something 'extra' she has that maybe could affect her in poor condtions?

and for the record..yes every child is vunerable i agree but she something additional that makes a quicker find more pertinent. I think thats what skye news was trying to impress.

Ugh I don't think this is going to end well, if he has any ounce of good in him then he would have said where she is and she would have been found by now.

Another thing I dont understand is it was reported that his daughter was playing with April but was also reported that the child she was with told her not to get in the van (which you wouldn't say about your dad), so I don't think it was his daughter playing with April.. But as a pp said he was taking such a risk to take a child in that street in front of another older child.
Why couldn't anyone have just seen him....Any mum or dad on that street and this wouldn't have happened.
:cry::cry::cry::cry:

It was reported that several children left just before the abduction took place. The 7 year old was not one of Bridger's, but one that was out playing beforehand may well have been. That's neither here nor there though to be honest, it's not significant information as they obviously didn't see anything.

I keep thinking about wanting to scare the parents - it's been said the parents alerted the police it may have been him, and although people have said it was because of the child who was with April, not confirmed. All we know it could have been April's parents because of an on-going feud.

How long did it take for road blocks? I just don't know, he must have known she would be reported missing. Unless there is something we don't know going on where for whatever reason he expected them to NOT call the police and when they did, he panicked. Ugh, made me feel cold writing that.

well where i live..an attempted abduction of a child happened near a school close to me recently..all the schools were informed to inforce stranger danger..but you dont stand a chance in a situation like this:( How do you explain that a stranger may be a person you have talked to ??? fortunately for that child she got scared and fled and told her mum. It made me so paranoid about mine being out they were only allowed to play in the back garden :(

Hugs Tasha, whenever I see a post from you in a thread I think what a brave and amazing lady you must be.

Really upset nothing more has come to light tonight. My.heart breaks for that little girl.

I think they said April's legs some times just give way. So I guess it's an aspect they 'have' to report.

It does sound like he wanted them to know it was him

Thank you mumj.

For those of you worried about teaching your LOs, teach them stranger danger but also teach them that if anyone (even a friend, uncle etc) wants them to go with them always come and tell you first

I sat there cuddling jack last night before bed time and I was saying to him you must never go with anyone apart from mummy, daddy, nanny and Grampy...of course he didn't understand .. He's only 1 but I just talked to him about April. Poor little love. Isn't it just unimaginable. Her parents must feel like their hearts Have been ripped out!!

I keep checking Callum. He woke earlier and I was actually terrified. Is it really bad that my first thought was "someone broke in and tried to take him"
