five year old missing!!

I cant believe its taken them this long to search his home?? Surely that would be one of the first places youd think to search for clues..especially if they have any inkling it could have been preplanned..letters..a diary..a phone..a computer he coulve researched on? :nope:

Is there another conference this afternoon ?

They're searching a guest house where he worked. Why the hell wasn't all this done on Tuesday?!

Have they not searched it before now?!
Hope they find something.

I would have hoped so but the way its worded on the news makes ut sound like they havent yet as theyre only just unscrewing all the doors?

I wouldn't jump to conclusions to be fair. There is a number of reasons that could explain why. They may have already been searched, you just don't know. I don't know why people jump on things so quickly :nope: Seems to me they are doing a brilliant job.

The longer it goes on the more concerned I am that they may have got the wrong guy - they'll have the vest interviewers in the country and they haven't yet got anything out of him..

Remember the man arrested over Jo Yates? The local weirdo.. Ring any bells?

The Police were so convinced that they had the right man that it allowed Peter Sutcliffe to carry on killing...

He may be the perp, but if.. If he isn't then every hour is an hour wasted in trying to find a scared young girl.

I really hope they find April alive but if they don't a body would at least give the parents a chance to greive rather then living in a limbo of what ifs.

Also the man they have in custody i have 3 ideas, 1 he did it and is deliberatly sending them on wild goose hunts, 2 he is innocent and is trying to help, 3 he is innocent but has decided to play a really sick game and string it out as much as possible wasting police time and allowing the real abducter to get as far away as possible he may even know or suspect who it is or just get off on the notirioty this whole case is giving him.

I think if he was innocent he would say so and not refuse to answer police questions. he would say his whereabouts and the 7 year old girl would not have identified the car and the man. Too much of a coincidence to me.

We don't know what he's saying in the interviews so I'd rather not comment on conjecture.

I hope the Police are on the right track and that they'll find April safe, however I err on the side of caution with these things and the Police have sadly been known to be wrong before - I reserve judgment, and as far as I'm concerned he's a suspect and absolutely no more at this stage.

I'm pretty convinced it was him. Will eat my words if it wasn't though.

Well the police did say something along the lines of him not co-operating. But the thing that strikes me most is the 7 year old would have no reason to lie. I think they have the right man, no doubt about that.

For a tiny village, nestled in the Valleys, they won't be used to this sort of crime or how to deal with it but they still seem to be doing the most amazing job. The head copper is honest and open.

I'm not saying it isn't him, but he hasn't, as far as we know, been charged with anything, much less the evidence been tested in a court of law.

It's comments like this that make me wonder about jury trial sometimes.

7 year olds aren't exactly the most reliable witness's.

I totally agree, In every single case like this people say what the police are doing wrong etc but we have to remember we dont get the full story etc so we dont know what has already been done etc xx Really hope she is safe and well :( at the very least her family need closure, I wish we could just get the little girl home safe and well. I am still holding out some hope for the little sweetie xx

7yr olds dont need to lie BUT I have a 8yr old and a 6yr old and both can easily get confused when recalling incidents, I know for a fact under pressure they could get stuff wrong and muddled up without intent to lie IYKWIM x

We're not 'in the game' though as I seem to remember you are. Were just people talking about the disappearance of a girl which has affected us badly. Were just saying what we think with no harm intended.

Seriously? Can I just ask are you a policeman? Because noone here is saying he's 100% guilty. We have way less information than the police have. You are speculating just like anyone on this thread. There really was no reason for that comment to be honest with you.
