five year old missing!!

can u imagine if he didnt do, and he was just out walking/hunting! and that the real one is still out there.

I no like he had just dropped his car at the garage and was walking home as his house is up the road from where he was arrested

Sorry. I thought you meant that me saying that meant that I thought they were going to find something really bad. So easy to misinterpret when speaking online.

Did you just hear on sky news that her dad has a degenaritive eye condition so cant help search or do the press conferences :(
How frustrating for him

I have sky news on & it makes me increasingly uncomfortable. Some of their coverage somehow makes these seem like some warped form of entertainment

Imagine for one moment that little girl the 7 year old said the wrong name by accident! how must she feel if she has, as so far the police have not really found much from having this man in custody and searching his car/cars and home/homes...

The longer it goes on and they appear to have nothing on him.. If he is innocent I can imagine he would not really want to be speaking to the police after not being believed and held for soo long...

However if he is guilty I hope he rots..

I get a feeling this is going to be the maddie case all over again though.. No body ever found.. evidence that does not add up and an innocent party picking up most of the blame

Was hoping to have heard some news. This is absolutely horrible :(

Seems like the search has intensified during the past hour. Could just be the coverage though x

The news just stated he didnt turn up for work on tuesday morning i think? Seems abit suspiscious if he really was innocent as as far as were aware he wasnt helping the search so where/what was he doing?

Just because there's nothing on him doesn't mean he's innocent.. Just means he may be a really good liar and very good at hiding things. Who knows

I am a lawyer.

What worries me is people basically convicting someone who hasn't been charged with anything, it's trial by media that could have a serious effect in a subsequent trial. It may be him, it may not be - but to say "no doubt about it" before a trial is, to me, a strange point of view.

It doesn't mean that your particular point of view is correct or more worthy, sorry. Everyone has an opinion. Noone here is on a jury or is conducting a trial, they're speculating. They're talking about the case because it's affecting them and upsetting them. Talking about it helps. This isn't a formal setting.

I find the input of a lawyer much more relevant than idle hear say and speculation which you have had alot of input.

Redhead has provided a true insight into what is likely going on.

I thought they said he DID turn up for work on Tuesday but I might be wrong because I did have to ask OH if they had said it.

But then if he did then wouldnt the police have just gone straight there. And have they only just found out he lived in that farmhouse or are they searching for a second time?

Bit confusing!

I could have misheard! I thought they said he didnt but my baby was crying at the time so couldve been wrong :s im confused now..
It wouldve made more sense for him to go to work to be fair as to not raise suspiscion?

I've just seen footage of where the suspect was living and the river is pretty much in his back garden :nope:

That would somehow explain to me why he was seen (if it was him) walking along the river further up, in relate to a comment posted on here last night i wont repeat as it was not a very nice thought to have.

Press conference: Extensive searchs are continuing, regardless of weather. Reiterating specialists, dogs and helicopters are being used. Large numbers of volunteers are helping.

No need to get rude  I am more than entitiled to my opinion, as is Redhead. Unfortunately, she's not working on this case. Neither am I. So noone can truly say what's going on

Missed every word of the PC as my girls had a meltdown. Anything significant?

I think it must be of some comfort if any to Aprils parents that hundreds of people are out there in the atrocious weather trying to find their princess. Its such an emotional case a lot of us are feeling it even though we may live miles away. Let's not fall out :flower: we are all here cos we care and want April to be found x

I just don't get it. It seems they haven't got anywhere at all. It's like she's literally just disappeared. It will be ten steps back if they find nothing by tonight and the only suspect they had is released because they have nothing on them. What will they do then?
