Still cant believe she hasnt been found. Cant fault the police though, think they are doing all they can. and again those volunteers, just goes to show there are so many good people out there who would do anything for anybody's child no matter what the circumstances x

Redhead, thanks for your posts so far, can I just ask what happens at 5pm tomorrow, would they need to 'find' something 'new' for him to be questioned longer or if they go to ask for an extension tomorrow with the same info as they had today, is it likely to be denied?

It genuinely scares me the number of people who think he must be guilty and threaten violence etc because he has been named. If he is released & she is still missing or god forbid found dead, he will be in serious danger....

If it turns out he is innocent he will NEVER ever have chance of a normal life. Everyone seeing him will instantly think "get him!"

Apparently the house poor little Baby P was abused in was sold onto a man who wasn't told. Because he lived there people thought he was Baby P's killer and were attacking him in public!

I think if they release him they have to give him some sort of protection just in case but not sure if they are obliged to?

but is there not visual evidence to state that it was his car and she went into it without any force? I dont think there is any doubt he took her and im sure the police know that. Was there not a child who saw it?..and the car had also been identified. I find it hard to believe he didnt have anything to do with it tbh.

All i know is that the police have been given an extra 12 hours.
They are now digging up paving stones..thats the latest on the telegraph online.
There really isnt anything more released unless im missing something?

I did think originally the child said a light van?? Which isn't a blue land rover?

Visual evidence from a 7 year old girl when it was getting dark is probably about as weak as evidence comes I'd imagine. She could have gone into a complete strangers car without a struggle, we just don't know. I don't think you can say there isn't 'any doubt' he took her.....because there is. After all, the 7 year old girl described a lightest coloured vehicle....and his car is metallic green. So tecnically if we're going off her description, it doesn't fit his car.

He could have been found walking along the river because his land rover broke down, he took it to the garage & was walking home. He put his waterproofs on because he knew he'd get wet/muddy on the walk home. He had them in the car cos he keeps them there (I keep my waterproof coat in the car). There are so many possibilities that aren't sinister and to say there is no doubt is dangerous IMO.....this is why he is in serious danger when he is released, because a lot of people have already decided he HAS to be guilty.

but the police said she got into a left hand vehicle side. It is a left hand vehicle. I reckon the police have way more information we know nothing about.

AT the house of the man held in suspicion of taking her. Saying that seeming according to this thread they were taking down the doors of where he lived although i didnt read that in the news only on here.

I dont think they would have been allowed a extension without knowing something that made him a strong suspect though
