they seem to know shes in the river, theyv stoped searching everywhere else. He must of said something. The news reporter is awful. just brazingly said "it seems that april has died" jesus christ i cant stop crying. all i can think is shes the same age as my princess! :'(

I dont have a source for this, but a friend has just said that 2 local residents saw him carrying a black bag down to the river...i dont know specifics or if thats even true but that apparently is why the charges have been increased to murder. If thats not true, then I apologise.

Not selfish at all. I was thinking earlier how many peoples lives will be changed by this because it is their job to be involved, or the volunteers who choose to be because they want to help. You just don't know what they will have found/heard etc. I respect them SO much. Incredible xxxx

If they do find a body i assume they will announce it within 30 mins, first they will tell the parents etc and then inform the public. I just hope they are wrong, when Tia Sharp's body was found it brought out my anxiety and i felt awful for a month. I just hope she is found alive. He rpoor family

The way the police work is they will charge a person with the highest level of crime they can because the charges will most likely be reduced in court. If they put anything lower, like kidnapping, they won't be able to change the charges.

Kidnap is not a fall back from murder, it's an "and" rather than an "or".

If charged with murder he will most likely be charged with abduction also.

I do hope that the family get a conclusion soon, even if it's not the one they hoped for.

I guess we work differently in Scotland. For example, someone can be charged with serious assault, if the crime causes bodily injury to another person, but it can be reduced to petty assault. You cannot, however, go from petty assault to serious assault.

And we won't know all the charges until he is FORMALLY charged anyways.

He most likely has a solicitor who has advised him not to speak. They have arrested him on suspicion of murder, meaning he is a suspect due to his location and connection to April. They need to back it up with evidence in order to continue to hold him. The police will put forward their evidence to the PF and the PF will determine what to do when it comes to court.

Massive I am thinking of your brother and all those involved in still searching, they must want to find her so bad but at the same time be terrified of finding her.

it is much more likely that would be evidence in a black bag (as in rubbish/grabage bag), if it was true.

Really? That sounds like a silly rule because what if someone is arrested for say manslaughter and new evidence comes to light and there for it becomes murder. Or say ABH and then they die so it becomes murder?

If he goes to prison, he hasnt been convicted (yet) or even charged.

Even if he gets charged he might not get convicted and sent to prison it all depends on the evidence.
