five year old missing!!

I've been following this for a while. It's very tragic. We will never know all the facts behind the case. Sadly, I kinda figured she would not be found alive. After 24 hours, the likelihood she would be found alive dropped drastically.

I may be controversial in saying so, but I cannot get passed letting a five year old play outside at 7:30. Still, if this person was hell bent on kidnapping her, this fact wouldn't have mattered.

I cannot imagine the pain of the family and I hope they are getting support.

Not that it matters because her parents have been punished in the worst way possible, but the timings arent really accurate. April's godmother said Coral (April's mother) rang her at 6.50pm, now if this account is true then she was taken at aound 6.30pm-6.40pm so it wouldnt be beginning to get dark, like dusk.

Any way, I am sure how parents blame themselves enough.

Anyone else see in the sun that they have published the story about the 2 girls and car incident... If it is linked then I reckon the other person may of taken her well out from the little village and as they have found some evidence mark has said where she is when she is not... Even if she is not alive with the other person..

So many little things about this make me believe its alot bigger

Maybe, the police are so focuses on the surrounding area that if they'd got her out in the first day they really could be anywhere.

But if there is new evidence then probably not.

I don't want to watch. I don't want to have to see the pain etched on those people's faces. How could he do this? I can't stand looking at her beautiful face. Her Mother never being able to see her smile again.. or hold her. Hear her laugh. Devastating, it hurts my heart to even think about it. I hope if he's charged and he did do this that he rots in hell. Disgusting. I can't even think of what to say anymore.

There is an update. Mark Bridger has been arrested on suspicion of murder xx

I don't know why they didn't search the river properly in the first place,If he did kill her then that's probably where he put her the chances of them finding her now is slim.

What if mark Bridger led police to believe she was alive but knew that he had dumped dr in the river and the longer time has gone on searching for little April that the chances of finding her in a fast flowing river is very slim. I think he knows what he's doing to make a conviction hard

They did, they have been searching the river every day since she went missing. The river was in flood at first so it made some areas impossible to search. I think the police, volunteers and other specialists have been incredible in this search.

Sky news are saying it appears the police have a pretty good idea where to look, and they have brought in an expert on 'confined spaces' to help them determine where she may be

I just feel ill at the moment, I can't even begin to imagine what Aprils poor parents are going through I hope the press have some respect whatever the outcome of this and leave them the hell alone. x x x

Whatever has been found, it must have been since yesterday because they were wanting volunteers yesterday and today they were insistant JUST police/experts etc.

They searched the river right from the beginning hun. I dont think the police have done anything wrong in the way they have searched for April, the opposite in fact.

The way the police work is they will charge a person with the highest level of crime they can because the charges will most likely be reduced in court. If they put anything lower, like kidnapping, they won't be able to change the charges.

Totally agree with you. They need her back, they need to nkow no more harm can come to her and they need to be able to have a funeral etc eventually.

Kidnap is not a fall back from murder, it's an "and" rather than an "or".

If charged with murder he will most likely be charged with abduction also.

I do hope that the family get a conclusion soon, even if it's not the one they hoped for.
