five year old missing!!

If they find her body (sorry), will the media report it first or would they wait for the police to announce it? I can't explain it but if I do hear it I'd prefer to hear from the police than some sky news 'exclusive'...

Typically, there are unwritten rules that the police must report it first to the family and then they will usually hold a press conference.

They have brought in someone who will show them where a body of that size is likely to get 'caught' up :cry:

Jon Clements (crime reporter for the mirror so not exactly reliable) tweeted this;

"I understand decision to arrest Mark Bridger for murder follows the results of forensic tests received by police overnight."

This is all so sad. I'm so glad I'm alone with my girls, gives me some sort of a distraction from the news. My updates are coming from this thread. I just feel sick. Her poor family.hoenstly though, I hope this comes to an end today. It's been too long.

do you no what, my hubs is never interested in the news, if anything happens he never really interested. This is the first one hes toke interest in, and i came on computer this morning and all last night he kept searching "April Jones update" every half an hour. it shows how much this has affected everyone.

I can't stop thinking about his poor children either. Regardless of the outcome I can't imagine how hellish their lives will be. "Your dads a murderer" etc. Ugh ;(

I don't know if it was mentioned but apparently two woman saw a man carrying a black bin bag to the river
This is giving me horrible thoughts :(

When I was thinking what they could have found to change the charge the first thing I thought was it wasprobably forensics rather than clothes etc because (upsetting)

Her blood at his house, or somewhere they were searching yesterday, or something he used to kill her with. Sorry :(

im so fucking mad!!!

my sister is the most careless person i know! i have just rang her saying how sad it is ect, and she was like

well after 24 hrs they would of been looking for her body not her being alive. Sadly this happens in this day and age when you let your daughter out at 7.30.

im sooo mad i ended up putting the phone down, she has to put a downer on everything!

This is what meant by the 'body in a bag man'.
He helped prove in a case that a man could not have gotten into a bag himself and do up the zip.

I've seen a renewed 'what did you expect' 'well they shouldn't have let her out at that time' since this news has been released. It's disgraceful, some people have no hearts!

Im checking this thread for updates now too. I just dont want the news on. Ive txt my hubby and said theres no housework being done intil shes found. I just cant settle.

Yes the volenteers (sp, cant spell today) have done an amazing job. You have to remember too though that the specialists are volenteers to. The only people being paid to do this are the police and maybe the fire service and ambulance.

I think they must have new reason to believe they are looking for a body in a river to have called him in. Sadly, after 24hours they will have likely consulted river experts to discuss where a body could be if it were put in the river - they would have considered the possibility because even though they weren't sure she if she was alive or dead, they'd want to find her asap. My Dad used to work for the environment agency & he had to do this once, that's how I know they wouldn't have waited for today to call people in. There is probably something 'else' - maybe they believe she could be 'hidden' close to the river or something. God bless x

News conference at 5:30pm will probably be just saying they are granted extra time to interview the suspect unless something really big happens between now and then.

I believe the people that are saying "What do you expect?" really are heartless. That's cruel to the parents and I'm sure they are beating themselves up enough over letting her play outside at that time of night.

However, like I said before, if this man was hell bent on abducting her and assualting her, he would have done it at any time of day. This was opportunity.
