Flu Jab

I had hallucinations my temperature went so high! I was in bed shivering for over a week, and then felt really weak for a fortnight. It buggered up my sinuses, too. So the accompanying headache that lasted about a month was just delightful :(

Oh no TennisGal :-(
I feel like I've been punched in the arm but rather that than real flu x

I had the flu once in my lue and it was horrible! I did not leave bed for 10 days.
Always had it as a kid because my sister has cystic fibrosis so the whole family had it done. Im going back to having it done again!

I have had the flu every year for the last three years. The christmas before last I had it over christmas. This year I've had the fly jab because the flu really is horrible, much worse than I thought it would be. We get it for free anyway because all carers do but I've never had the jab before. I decided that this year I don't want to spend 2 weeks in bed followed by 2 weeks with no energy and feeling very ill so I had it.

You can pay about £8 for one if you're not considered high risk..I think it's worth it. You'd spend more than that on lem sips if you did get flu! I've had one but luckily I had mine courtesy of Mil!

I think if your not high risk but catch things easily get it done at asda for £7!!

I got it as i have asthma, already had flu + 4colds this year, bummer!! having it done was fine didn't even have any arm achness, felt good since actually.

I asked about children they said unless high risk won't give children it.

I have it because I have asthma. To those who are high risk but don't bother because they haven't had flu for years - flu isn't something you get every year anyway, it's not like a cold. If you catch it and you have other health conditions you could be seriously ill - eg hospitalised or worse. It's only a little scratch.

No, I wouldn't have it. I've had it twice before and both times it made me poorly. I'm aware that apparently this is not a live vaccine, but it made me very poorly (either that or coincidence twice got very ill after each jab!?)

I had it last year when I was pregnant but not having it this time. I've not been offered it as yet anyway :flower:
