I'm flying to Turkey on Wednesday and I'll be 15+2 days.
I'll be having a check up with my doctor before I go.
Anyone else flew while pregnant and have any advice please?xx

I flew long haul at 6 weeks and back at 8 weeks...keep hydrated, wear compression socks, move around a lot (keeping hydrated will help with this ha ha) and have fun.

I got myself really worked up on my way out and didn't sleep at all but had relaxed by the time we returned. Baby is now healthily kicking away.

You are doing the right thing getting checked out to reassure yourself, then relax and go with the flow. Are you going anywhere exciting? x

Thank you hun :)
I'm off to Turkey for a week, it was booked before I knew I was pregnant 🙈 xx

Preggo brain, sorry it was in your post but I'd forgotten by the time I replied ha ha

Have a lovely time xx

I just flew to Spain at 18 weeks and back again at 20. Best bit of advice I'd give is to move around a fair bit.... I definitely recommend flight socks - I wore them and still had pretty swollen ankles by the time we landed so dread to think what they would have been like

Hi there. I flew to cyprus at around 18 weeks and had no issues. I didn't even think to wear compression socks- I guess I would have if I had been further along. Enjoy your holiday!

I went to ibiza whilst 15 weeks pregnant. Didn't do anything different to usual and was totally fine. Double check your clothes fit you though, once I got there I discovered I'd become too fat for most of my shorts!
are you all inclusive or self catering? If you're a fussy eater like me you might want to take some foods that are easy to make and you know you'll like. Pasta pots for example. We got there and the allinclusive was dreadful, oysters, weird cheesy stuff, fish and stuff and I spent most of the time starving because I didn't feel comfortable eating it.
Enjoy! :)

I just asked about flights when I was at Dr today, he said same thing, walk around once an hour, wear support stockings and stay hydrated. He said if you are drinking coffee don't drink any on the flight as its a diuretic. He also said don't fly after 28 weeks but up until then is safe. I got a Dr note saying I'm ok to fly just incase they ask.

I'm just back from Spain last week. Slightly swollen ankles which is normal for me flying anyway. Didn't do anything differently although couldn't lie and bask in the sun for a long time like I usually do! X

Flew to Lanzarote at 25 weeks pregnant - everything was absolutely fine and to be honest I didn't do anything different than I would normally do...except steer clear of the gin and tonics!

I advice you tomstretch your legs and to definitely walk once every hour. I flew at 19 weeks and found it to be very uncomfortable.

Do you guys go through the scanners or ask for a pat down?

I flew to Spain at 23 weeks and back at 24. The only extra thing I did was to wear support stockings which I wouldn't normally do on such a short flight. Other than that I just made sure I did some exercises every so often and drank lots and lots of water. Oh and I wore a maxi dress so I'd still be comfortable every if I got any swelling. Have fun!

Rachel89- I went through the scanners but didn't beep. If I had I would have asked for a pat down rather than going into the body scanner

Flew at 16 weeks, fly home in a few days and I'll be 19 weeks, definitely stay hydrated and buy some good compression socks!
