Hi, I will be flying with my 1 year old son in a couple of days and I was wondering what you brought on the plane to make the flight as painless as possible.

Thanks!

Snacks!

Also books and small toys that don't need a surface to play them on as once the baby is on your lap there isn't room to put the tray table down.

Something for them to suck on take off and landing to help with the pressure change

That's a great age to fly! Is he walking? My son loved walking up and down the aisles and lifting the arm rests up and down. We brought an iPad with some very simple, free toddler games. Books and snacks. A couple small toys that were new to him (borrowed from friends).

If he throws toys, try to rig something so you aren't constantly picking things up off the floor ;-)
