Ironic given the discussion on the other thread that the doctor featured thinks that IVF should be free if a couple can't conceive. Not so in my area if you're over 39.

According to the specialist on the programme, when it comes to doing the :sex: his advice is to imitate primitive jungle conditions for the best sperm count - wham, bang, thank you ma'am!

There you go ladies! :winkwink:

For people outside of the UK, after the show has aired you might be able to see it on https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/. I don't know if it works outside the UK but it's worth a go. Past programmes don't stay on the site for long though, about a week.

watched this last night. The sheer emotional strain on the couples is heartbreaking. I predicted the youngest couple would be the ones to be successful... Anyway it was great intro for IVF - i may be doing it later in the year - and i liked the doctor he seemed to understand why it means everything and i loved the "do it like an animal" bit ,)

have not watched it yet but so pleased that finally someone is talking about infertility issues on TV. as much as I love "one born every minute" and the like I would also want to see what happens with people struggling to conceive and what are the options and IVF process etc.

when is the next one?

According to the website it's on tomorrow on BBC HD at 23.20. There are 6 days left to watch it on iPlayer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01ps8yc

I agree with you and Kasgreenbean, it was really good to see the process. You really felt for those poor couples who were unsuccessful.

I did wonder though was it a good idea to have an interviewer in the lab distracting the embryologists in the middle of one of the most delicate jobs on the planet!

why don't I have this HD channel? anyway watched it on e-player, fantastic! exactly what I needed on CD1. shames most couples were unsuccessful. will have to wait for the second one to come to e-player.

interesting about "wham, bang, thank you ma'am" but I doubt it will work for men with low sperm count and low sex drive my DH, oh well

aww you have to be in the uk to watch that program -anyone find a link to it elsewhere?

i cant watch one born every now at the moment. i feel up and down, but mainly up about my situation but its a bit like rubbing salt in the wound!
sorry its only uk viewers :(
anyone got any other docos to recommend?

I also stopped watching one born every minute after out TTC turned into LTTTC, it just gets depressing

I watch One Born Every Minute occasionally. I'm mostly positive when I watch it and I like to think one day I'll give birth. I have to admit though that I do sometimes feel jealous when I see all those younger women giving birth.
