Hi ladies!

I personally was only nauseas in the first tri but didn't start throwing up until my second tri (just like with my first pregnancy, I get my morning sickness in the first part of the second tri!) Anyway, it was really really bad for a few weeks and I was unable to really take care of myself, my toddler, my house, etc. I was dehydrated from vomiting, had a constant migraine headache, couldn't even see food on TV because it would make me sick, I had no energy, I wasn't sleeping well, etc. I posted a few times in these forums asking for remedies some of you probably remember. :haha:

I went to my birthing center and my midwife gave me a free month's trial of Diceglis which is basically just like b6 and an antihistamine that's in a time-release capsule. I don't know why it works, but it works, at least for me! I'd been trying EVERYTHING. I wear Seabands, I was already taking b6, magnesium, really high-quality prenatals, preggie pops, you name it and I was doing it. I promise I'm not getting paid by any drug rep to say this and I just want to spread the word that if you have really bad morning sickness that isn't responding to most other standard remedies for morning sickness, this might help you.

This is my third day of taking it and I sleep almost all the way through the night, I haven't thrown up or even been nauseas in these three days, etc. The only thing that's annoying about it is that since it's a time-release, I'm drowsy all throughout the day because I'm pretty much regularly getting periodic doses of a sleep aid lol, but I honestly would take drowsiness over how I was feeling before a thousand times! It's called Diceglis, it's a "category A" medicine that's been studied for 30 years for safety, it's literally safer to take in pregnancy than Tylenol, you don't have to take it on a full stomach or anything, you just take it before bed and then if you still have problems you can take it in the afternoon too but I haven't found I needed that. It is AWESOME. I am so happy that my midwife gave it to me because I was seriously struggling! Anyway, hope this helps some of you ladies! <3

I'll give it a try. I'm suffering with hyperemesis. I've been taking zofran for two weeks which is the only thing that has helped. But I'll. Be sure to try this too

I did Diclegis (Diclectin here), and yup, it works well. I did 4 tabs a day in my first trimester along with 1 zofran, and then down to one diclegis a day in 2nd trimester. It's wonderful, but remember it builds up in your system, so if you feel fine and stop taking it, your MS can come back a few days later with a vengeance. My doctor said just keep taking it (and when I stop altogether I'm right back to puking).

Glad you found a remedy!

Okay cool, yeah and I heard another lady here say that their ins didn't cover Diceglis but since it's basically b6 and Unisom, you can just buy the vitamin and Unisom at a drug store over the counter and it'll be almost the same. The thing is that Diceglis is time-released so it's much better than taking b6 and Unisom - I used to take just the b6 by itself and I literally had to take it every hour at a low dose (didn't know about unisom at that time though) and I was still throwing up and/or feeling very bad nausea even with that, so I can't really vouch for taking just the b6 and Unisom but I can vouch for Diceglis! :happydance:

That's awesome! And yeah, I was feeling great with just the two tablets before bed for the first three days, then last night started feeling nauseas again so I added the morning dose today and I'm feeling great again. I think it built up in my system the first few days (which is why they tell you to wait to add another dose) and so now I'm able to see what dose I actually need. I like that flexibility and I most definitely LOVE not puking and being able to play with my toddler and not live in squalor anymore :haha: My poor husband was having to work long hours and then come home and cook and clean and entertain our boy while I laid on the couch and groaned lol, but I've been feeling SO much better that it's getting back to normal around here. Yes, I'm so glad too!

Iv just got cyclizine today, I'm 13 weeks and it's hit an all time high!!!

Some times I can eat others I can't even smell food or I'm running to the toilet!

Iv had to stop taking my vitamins because they make me vomit and I'm sick of sitting on the floor in the toilet in work!

I still havnt told anyone I'm pregnant especially work but I'm feeling like I should soon

I was taking dicelgis and it made me feel like i could sleep for 3 day because of the antihistamine but it did help with nausea

I have a question any one carrying a boy that got really bad nausea and had to use zofran?
