For xxxx sake!

Finally after 4 months of waiting, my next appointment was on monday to discuss my results of HSG, and bloods etc and i was super excited that maybe we were getting somewhere. But oh no something happens and ruins its all

Came home from work yesterday to two letters from hospital, one dated 30th august just comfirming my appointment and one dated 1st september CANCELLING it!!! Devastated is not the word, i cried as soon as i read it.

I have rang them and apparently the doctor has left the trust and i should here in a week or so my new appointment date, i have no idea if it will be in a week or another 4 months and who it will be with.

When will some luck come my way, because to be quite honest i am sick of picking myself up all the time just to be knocked straight back down.

Sorry for the long rant but so frustrated right now

And I totally understand how you feel. We were meant to start IUI in abou 2 weeks only to find out last week that we've been referred to the wrong hospital and can't be treated there... Been waiting since may

They are now referring us to the correct hospital which means another 4-6 months wait... I was speechless when I found out. To be kicked in the stomach so many times is just wrong

I am so sorry, you should give them a call to confirm when the next appointment will be just an indication and they might be able to provide you with a gen date,

aww 4-6 months wait again? Heartbraking for you! Its awful, they dont realise that time does really drags when your waiting to get some good news so you can finally make your dream come true!

Thats horrible!! Lets hope as you were at the top of the waiting list as soon as they find a new DR you will be first in. I drove myself mad waiting for our first appointment which was a 4 month wait, DH even booked a holiday to give me something else to count down to, i know whats its like, waiting and waiting, then waiting some more. GL hun hope your appintment comes through very soon FX for you x

This is very bad!!! I would complain! I comlaiend about having to wait 3 months to discuss the results of my HSG and guess what they got e in the week after!!! makes me so mad how they treat us! Grrrr

Kaye - nope, no one realised just HOW emotionally draining ttc is! Because its not life threatening they think there's no problem waiting another few months...

I really feel your frustration - it's soo hard isnt it? If you havent already, maybe it's worth calling them again and explaining how long you have already waited and what has happened, they may be able to bump you up the list.

I waited ages for my first FS appointment (having waited 16months just for a referral from my GP who kept telling me to be patient even though my periods are so irregular) and then my FS finally prescribed me norethisterone to bring on AF so I could then book an HSG. However what they didnt tell me was that the X-ray department cant fit everyone in first time for HSG, so I should have called them before taking norethisterone. Instead my FS told me to call the X-ray dept on Day 1. So when I called X-Ray they said I'd have to call back on the first day of my next period and I got upset and said I was very irregular and had used the norethisterone i had been prescribed, so i'd then have to go back to FS to get another prescription. Thankfully the lady in appointments luckily appeared to me on my side and fitted me in as the last appointment of that week.

So you never know - you might just catch someone in a good mood and able to maybe fit you in on a cancellaton or something?
