I'm new to this forum so please be gentle with me, lol!

I've had three miscarriages in total, last one in Nov 09 and I found out this morning, with the aid of a Clearblue digital test (god bless Clearblue, lol) that I'm pregnant again.

I'm allowing myself to be excited but 10 minutes after all my happy thoughts the nervous, scared, worried thoughts creep back in.

I do already have a year old that me and my husband adore but we're desperate for another one, I'm just scared to allow myself to be happy.

Even though I only found out this morning i've been analysing every little twinge and always running to the toilet just to "check"...if you get me!

Just need some help to keep my HAPPY thougts strong!

Aww congratulations! I know how horrible it is (I had a miscarriage 30th November) and am pregnant again, and am completely paranoid about every ache and pain. You can't help feeling excited then terrified all within a couple of minutes, but I really hope everything works out this time for you.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I kind of understand - have had four early miscarriages since having my daughter almost two years ago, most recently in early November, and am 6-weeks pregnant again. I was feeling really stressed from the time when I got the BFP until I had a scan today that showed a tiny heartbeat (have had several scans in the past where it has been bad news). The last two weeks I have been really low, anxious and and was terrified before the scan today, awake from 4.30am etc. But this time it was good news, fingers crossed the next one in two weeks is good too.

My husband is an eternal optimist, his attitude is that we should enjoy this time because worrying and feeling upset won't stop it hurting if we have another loss, whereas if we are happy, even if it is just for a few weeks, no-one can take that time away. I am slowly coming round to this view after driving myself nearly demented!

The first few weeks is a worrying time, but the ladies on here (and on the sticky recurrent miscarriage thread - several of the ladies are pregnant, a couple much further on) are really supportive and can relate. I have found it helpful to try to keep busy, to keep my mind off things, but to get early nights in etc., not trek around too much.

Also, don't know where you live, but where I am (London) there is a good early pregnancy unit where they will do early scans (e.g. 6 and / or 8 weeks) for women with a history of recurrent miscarriage.

Best wishes for a healthy first tri and whole 9-months!

Congratulations! I could have written the exact same post when I first found out. It was about 10 minutes of ablsolute shock and bliss, and then reality hit. LOL! I did the knicker checking too...still do. :hugs: You are pregnant today, and that is a wonderful thing!!!:happydance:

Thank you everyone.

I am really trying to stay positive but just wish some clever professor would invent something to tell you that everything was going to be ok and that you didn't have to wait 3 flipping months!!!

But all the support here is great, it helps to know I'm not by myself!!

Fingers extremely tightly crossed for me and for everyone on here xxx

Welcome to the forum hunny, sending loads of healthy, sticky :dust:
