Ok so I am 10dpo and have tested with frer and there was a bright white line that came up straight away. I had a look in the net and someone had called the helpline asking about the same thing, they were told that any line that comes up within the time limit is a pos, even if it is white - reason being not enough hcg to turn pink?? anyway i called up myself and the lady said it was a negative, so now i am really confused. Has anyone got any experience of this???? comments would be more than welcome

Yup ive had this!... after a while it went Grey and was the most convincing positive line i ever did have on a frer, but it wasnt pink. It has to be pink to qualify to be a positive. I dont like frer.

Ill try and dig out a picture of it for you x

thanks for replying its soo frustrating, i have attached some pics, the edges have dried to pink!!ahhh, so confused!!!

You can only take it as bfn, as it has no colour.

You'll have to test again!

It's possible it's a pos!! I hate frer test.Sometimes they do strange things. But you're still quite early so there's still hope!! GL!!!

thanks for replying, wish i could hold off testing but its too tempting!! Ok this is it dried out - i know i shouldnt but cant help it!!

I'm sorry hun, but the white line is always there, if it doesnt gather colour its negative, however, being 10dpo you are still in with a shout!

Ok thanks for replies, i would like to say that i will hold off till the morning, but i will probablt cave! will update if i get anything else x

Yes do I'd test again with a line like that! X

fingers crossed for u, but u shouldnt take it out of the case as it dries quicker leaving some of the colour in the indent line

Really...I've taken mine out the case lots of times,I get a white line. But never any color. But that's why I really don't prefer fr.

it all depends how long the tip is absorbed in the urine, if i take the fr out straight away i always get a pinkish line left after the test has dried, and sometimes not think it depends on how much dye is on the test x

Well i have NOOOO will power!!! Took another - superdrug pink dye and nothing!!! If i dont get a pos i am never taking any tests again, i worked out that it probably would have been cheaper to have a blood test done privately, at least it would have been more accurate!! I have ordered some more frer with my internet shopping but it is coming tomorrow even. This prob tmi but can i store my fmu - in a urine sample thingymajig to use in the evening or would it not work????? If i could invent an hpt that had noooo evap lines i would be soooo rich!!!!! x

Yeah that doesnt look positive. I've had loads of white lines with a FRER, it means negative. It has to be pink. Also, dye can pool on either side of the test stip. Good luck!

With a frer I found fmu was no good, mid day per was the best.....

I think the hcg starts to break down after a few hours of storing. I would probably suggest not drinking too much and not going to the toilet for a few hours prior to taking an evening sample. That's why they say morning - because we're sleeping and not drinking and diluting the hcg, but of you can manage to hold off for a few hours in the evening you should get the same result

Ok so AF arrived without any warning!!!!oh well at least i have some left over tests for next month!

I used conceive plus lube and cb digi ovulation tests to get my bfp, best thing I've ever invested in x
