Hi ladies,

I've started freezing some of my breastmilk for my baby when I go back to work in a couple of months.
So frozen breastmilk can last for 3-6months right? But I'm wondering about how suitable it is for the baby's age because I read that the components of breastmilk changes as the baby grows? So say breastmilk was frozen when the baby was 3 months old then I thaw it out after 2 months and give it to my baby whose already 5 months old. Would it still be meeting my baby's nutrient needs?

Yep!
Maybe not quite as well as breastmilk expressed that morning, but your six-month old milk will be perfectly good for your baby! Breastmilk does adapt to meet your baby's needs, but it doesn't change that much. And frozen breastmilk is still superior to formula.
