FSH gutted

:/ sorry to hear that.
Did they give u options yet? Is it too late for ivf?

We won't go for IVF =/
We're still with the GP and will see how much NHS will do, but we will go private for drugs if that's a solution for us.

My last FSH was also 19, but it fluctuates a lot, mine was between 9 and 19 in the last 2 years but it gradually goes up. it only matters if you are doing IVF, the NHS refused us funding because of high FSH which means my ovaries will probably wont react to stimulation so I am going privately for a natural cycle IVF with Create. with natural or modified cycle they do not stimulate your ovaries to make them grow lots of follicles they just aim for 1-3. we have low sperm count issue and have been TTC for 3.5 years with no success. if it was not for that I'd continue TTC naturally cos high FSH wont stop you getting pregnant naturally.

I see you're in the same part of the world as me. Do you have any tips and tricks as to how to go about this private/nhs thing? How expensive is it really? Do you get a choice as to where to go and do you think it really matters which clinic you go to?

I've researched main UK clinics and picked a couple but they only do conventional IVF with full on ovarian stimulation. so when we did not get the funding (the NHS in the UK only funds conventional IVF and only if you meet the criteria one of which FSH below 12) we started looking at alternatives. i found Create https://www.createhealth.org/ivf-treatment-services/ivf-treatments/natural-cycle-ivf they specialise in natural IVF and focus on women's health rather than ivf success rates. I am just starting my first IVF cycle with them and will be putting my updates on here https://babyandbump.momtastic.com/a...al-ivf-cycle-september-update-first-page.html

when you go with the NHS, they offer a choice of 3-4 local clinics. when you go privately you can choose any clinic you want. conventional IVF cost varies depending on the protocol and amount of meds but on average between 7,000-15,000 pounds. natural IVF is around 3,000-5,000 pounds (cos less meds is used)

Thank you so much. Ill def. look into this and stalk your thread :flower:
