Full term tomorrow! Anyone else due late January and wanna wait it out together?!

Lol yeah its hard to keep up when the pages are moving so fast!

Woohoooo!! The baby's started to engage. Soooo glad! Thought I was going crazy with these aches and pains, least I know what's causing them now! Also baby has decided to completely change what side she's laying at. She used to have her back on my right but now its on the left.

Had a quick bounce on the ball but it just makes me need the toilet and my son thinks its funny and trys to jump on with me:dohh:

I told the midwife about the extra 'stuff' coming out of me and she just said if it didn't calm down to ring labour ward and they'd check me. It's calmed down loads from this morning but I'm still excited that things are starting to look promising with my body getting ready.

Oh and today I have spent time online shopping while my son has his nap. I'm ordering me a few 'well done you had a baby' presents. Mainly clothes that will make me look a yummy mummy yet hide my saggy tummy at the same time:thumbup:

Just came back from app soooo angry she's take me as granted didn't do internal because they have to induce me :( ., +ve for streb b :/

Well, Im back from my appointment.

Ultrasound went well. They were able to wake LO up enough to see him practice breathing, more so then they were able to see last week, so that was re-assuring. AND he finally, after several weeks of being stubborn, moved his hands long enough to get ONE 3-d picture of his face. It looked pretty squished in there because hes sooo low, but cute non-the-less.

Went in for my NST and they had the head nurse do it since the other nurses seem to be having issues. Hooked up for about 45 minutes until he passed. Had two very large contractions. Specialist came in and said LO fluid levels were excellent and he seemed to be doing very well, my NST was good, and he did very well handling the contractions I did have on the monitor. She re-assured me that she really thinks a natural birth will be safe, and if at any time something seems to be off they will do a csection, but not to worry. She said it looks like im pretty much gearing up for labor and she hopes I don't end up back in the clinic next week and the next time she sees me I have a baby (that means by next Thursday as I usually don't see her on Mondays during my NST but I do see the MW). She told me to go home and eats tons of spicy food. She also asked if it was OK if people took pictures of my placentas and cord after LO was born. At that point, I really dont care what they do with it.

Came home and went to Thai food for lunch with my mom. Still nothing  Then walked the store for about an hour, looking at baby clothes and picking out paint for LO rooms, my sons room and daughters room.

i was worrying for a couple of weeks that i was getting spd late in the game until midwife said engaged and then the pain doesnt seem as bad - weird isnt it!!

extra 'stuff' - do you mean loss of bits of plug? way too many pages to read back and see your prev posts, but just wondering as i've had loads more today and dont see midwife til end of next week..........

can't wait to see how much weight comes off after baby's born and get back to shopping for clothes again!! :)

great that you were able to get a 3d pic :)

I'm here waiting for my appointment now, they run so behind! Last night was really bad. Hubs is on night shift n I was having so much pain in bed (either bh or bad ligament pain?) its like a stabby tightness n the only thing that helps is to painfully move onto all 4s on the bed and gather a pillow under my arms. Also feeling a first tri nauseas today, argh :(

on knees in bed or leaning over birthing ball - and the pain goes away temporarily......but, can't sleep like that, started nodding off over ball this morning a few times so had to get off it, didnt want to slip off flat on my face!!

dry crackers and ginger ale worked wonders for nausea for me in first tri and monday night after being sick all those times... :)

Glad your appt went well!!! :happydance:

Well my appt today was good...kinda. I got good news and bad news. I was advised that its not if I have pre-e but when I will have it. My protein in my urine was at 268 and 300 is considered pre-e. My bp was down today though so that is what saved me from an induction....whew! When I was checked babies head is lower and getting engaged and my cervix is more anterior...so changes are happening...still not dilated or effaced. My OB said to drink red raspberry leaf tea, use EPO gel caps orally and vaginally and to have marathon sex over the weekend. We will see if anything works, I go back on Monday for my next appt. My DH was all excited about being told to have all the sex...I'm like oh hooray I look like I have Hobbit feet (minus all the hair...LOL) and I'm uncomfortable, last thing I want is to be all hot and heavy with the hubby...guess I'll get over it.

Hah, DH was all excited because he thinks we need to be doing it like wild rabbits or something to get this baby out. I feel so unattractive yet he still wants to get some. We tried this morning and it hurt so bad. I swear my cervix has come forward and down (it was still a bit high on monday) because I swore he was hitting it left and right and it was the least enjoyable thing ever.

Pretty sure I will not even be attempting sex!
My app was ok, still 2/5 engaged. Described the feelings/ pains I was having at night and she said doesn't sound like bh!
Bp was 140/85 again so slightly up.and +1 for protein. She teased me with the words "may not let you go over"'but I tried not to listen as every week I get a diff doctor who says something different and I don't wanna get my heart set on having him on time then be told they'll let me go 2 weeks over!

I also asked when I could request a sweep and she said they'd possibly do one at my 39+5 app if I was favourable, and asked how I knew about them, I said I spend too much time on the Internet lol

I am now becoming impatient!! I want LO out now :( I'm so tired of my belly feeling so big and heavy... It's driving me crazy!!!! I don't know how I can wait another few weeks possibly!

I know, I almost cried when she said "well see you in a week" argh. Last night I realized how hard getting in and out of bed has become!

Oh my goodness, getting out of bed is the worst. I have to roll out of bed. I feel like the girl on Willie Wonka who turns into a giant blue berry! I am so sore right now. I have no idea what LO is doing in there, but I feel extremely sore on my left side of my belly down into my groin.

Saw the doc today. Im measuring 40 weeks because of the extra waters. I'm 3cm at this point, but my cervix is still kinda thick. Because of the extra waters baby is engaging then floating back up.

doc is going to talk to his boss about induction on Thursday next week. That will put me at 38 weeks. If not though he said he would do a sweep on monday at my next appointment.

I can't believe I'm sitting here at 3cm and nothing is happening. Im so afraid my water is going to brake and I wont get to the hospital in time...

Totally getting out of bed is a horror. Makes having to pee all night like an Olympic sport.

I am really not looking forward to this evening because I know my DH is expecting to get some:sex:.....eerrrrrgh. If there was a guarantee it would start up labor I would be more at ease but the pain of it all, I don't know if its worth it.
The hitting the cervix thing is awful....oowww!

WispyShadow: Im right there with you. DH is going to come home and expect some. He did last night and I was just not feeling it, so I tried to bribe him with DTD before he went to work. He woke me up at 530am, and I still was not in the mood AT ALL, but figured maybe it would help things along... NADDA! Ate spicy food for lunch and just now, NADDA!

I really hope when I go into labor this time my water breaks or something. I hate just having contractions because I always doubt myself thinking Im just imagining things. :dohh:
