A close friend of mine has recently been diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour so me, her and another friend are desperately trying to think of fundraising ideas for 'The Brain Tumour Charity.'

One friend is already doing a half marathon so we are thinking of something a little different?

Any ideas would be very welcome. x

I'm sorry to hear that! :hugs:

What about a skydive? I done one last summer, for Roy Castle Lung Cancer charity, when my mum was diagnosed.

Yeah i really like the idea of a skydive. My friend with the tumour and my other friend did one last year though so they wanted to do something different and there is NO way im doing one alone, im petrified of heights! lol. Thankyou though x

Aww I was too! But you're up there with your instructor and I also had 3 other jumpers with me - it's honestly the best thing I've ever done :)

Good luck!

:(
you can try sky dive, bungee jump, swimming, running, making & selling things, sponsored car wash, make charity boxes to put at checkouts of local shops etc xx

Ladies nights at a local big pub!?

I'm sorry to hear that - it must be hard.

How grand scale do you want to go? You could organise a charity ball.

Ones I have done and most effective are:
Race night... This raused over 4000
Balloon release
Chip shop dinner and tarot eve
Skydive
Marathon
Abseil

Thankyou. Well we are hoping to raise as much as possible, she is most likely going to have surgery within the next few months so nothing too 'hardcore' for a while unless its just me and my other friend doing it. A charity ball sounds fab, something we could take our time planning and hopefully she will be well enough after the op to come. Thanks x

Fashion show in local shopping centre - I'm sure some of the retailers would loan outfits and if you chose a weekend, there will be lots of people around to give donations.

You may also be able to get retailers to donate a gift or voucher so you could do a raffle as well.

Good luck x

How about a raffle? You would be surprised how many shops will give items for free, especially local businesses that need the exposure. Somebody I know did this recently and got ghds, spa days, beauty treatments etc donated.

A motorcycle ride? I work for a police dept and we constantly get motorcycle rides for charity. We can usually get at least one officer to escort and stop traffic, and you'd be surprised how many people would attend!
