Gardeners

So I have been beating myself up about not getting various things planted yet and guess what we woke up to this morning? Yes folks, it's June 6 and the fair city of Calgary has a thin blanket of snow.
Now I feel smug instead of guilty!! :)

Quiet in here at the moment?

I really need to get my tomatoes and cucumbers into grow bags in the greenhouse as they are outgrowing their pots! everything is starting to shoot up now we have had some actual sun!!

Wow Sarah snow!! I bet you are glad you didnt have everything planted out!

Well, my garden is slowly getting there! All my little border plants are getting bigger, and some have flowers, it is really satisfying!

My Sunflowers are looking great too, I decided it would be best to put them in long planters and put them along the fence as we still have a billion slugs looking for stuff to eat!

I have some photo's that i took of my dads garden if anyone fancies a nosy, his garden is gorgeous, unlike my concrete yard!! lol
But i have tomartoes now :yipee:

Yes Kaci post them! I was gonna take a pic of mine cos the flowers are starting to bloom! But after seeing everyone elses I am a little embarrased, although I have done it all myself! and started from a complete pile of weeds and mess!

OK will do , bear with me a i got abit snap happy.

Oh wow it is stunning! I would be proud too! I love how it has different areas..... Only in my dreams would I ever have a garden like that! Or if I win the lotto! :D

What a gorgeous garden Kaci, can you get your dad to come and do mine please?!!

Well, I finally got my toms and cucumbers into their grow bags last weekend and had loads left over so have some on my back steps and decking too, figured I may as well try and see how they fare - can't bear to just throw away plants I have nurtured from seed, they are like my babies!! DH has made a fab watering system for the greenhouse so I can water without bending down - little wooden posts with watering pots in the top and tubing going down into each grow bag - it is fab! will try and remember to take pics this weekend to show you all!

I have planted out my punkins and squash too but the plants look really rubbish and weak, I think I need to feed them - need to get DH to dig out some compost for me. My peas are flowering already and my strawberries have loads on - must put a net over them or the birds will have a feast!

Our lawns are so weedy and mossy atm does anyone have any good tips for neglected lawn renovation please?

How is everyone else doing?

Yours sounds fab! I am still in the process of renovating my lawn, it was all moss and weeds.
I used evergreen complete lawn care, then ASDAs own lawn feed.

TBH it isnt looking much better! It is needing cut again though, but need the rain to stop for that to happen, then once its cut I'll be able to see if it looks any better underneath xxx

If you find anything that works let me know!

Thanks for that, I shop at Asda so I will have a look, DH has been reading up on the subject and seems to think it will be easy (we were going to pay for someone to re-turf but will be a couple of hundred quid ) so might as well give renovation a go first!

LOL I wanted to re-turf mine too! I can see myself doing it next year if it doesnt improve!

Gocarlily! The ASDA ones seems to have worked on my grass, I finally got it cut and it is looking much greener underneath.

I am going to put on another treatment today xxx
