Hi there, I was diagnosed with GD 2 weeks ago( I'm 31 weeks now)and 4 days ago was put on nighttime insulin due to fasting numbers not dropping. I met with the high risk doctor and after all the testing, ultrasounds, etc. he is recommending to my surgeon to have my section at 38 weeks. That would fall on the Sunday after thanksgiving. My family will be in town for Thanksgiving and I was thinking of asking to schedule it the day after Thanksgiving, is this wrong or rude to ask? I'm not sure. Please give me your honest opinion about this. Thanks.

Your doc is probably in working in hospital that day so there may not be an option. I would just go with the date they give you. And your family can come visit at hospital! Good luck.
