it suddenly dawned on me the other day that i'm going back to work in like 2 months and katie wont take anything apart from booby!!

she used to take a bottle of EBM, but then we stopped giving her them and she just wont take it!!

how can i get her to take a bottle? i've not had more than about 2 hours to myself since she was born cos i've got to be on hand with her milk!!

i dont know what i'll do if i've got to go back to work and she wont take a bottle cos its a bit late at 6 months to suddenly start tryin her with a sippy cup when i've got to go to work. if that makes sense??

Can you express and get someone else to give it to her? Like your OH?

she just wont entertain it. we left her with mum and dad for OHs bday whilst we went for a meal, but we had to go back to feed her

Skye had a few problems taking a bottle, I went back to work when she was 3 months old, only part time though, and she was originally using tommee tippee ctn ones, very reluctantly though. I saw a few threads on here and at about 6 months I tried the MAM ones, she prefers them. She wont take formula though, or very rarely, it has to be EBM, and not me giving it to her. She will only take juice from me.

What I would do is start expressing some every day, and get someone else to try to give it to her every day until she does start getting used to it. Maybe wait until she is a little hungry, not screaming her head off but a bit peckish, and stay out of the room, cause if she sees you she will wonder why you arent feeding her! Good luck!

it takes me ages to express enough to feed her, last time it took me a week to build up enouggh then it all went to waste :( i'm willing to try anythin tho, even if it 1oz and then she gets booby!!

Ive seen a few people recommend the MAM bottles for breastfed babies.

Good luck Alice :hugs:

Could be the bottle and may be worth trying a few? I too heard MAM bottles were good to use with BF babies having their milk in a bottle. Worth a try :D!

ooo i might try a mam bottle! i've not changed the teat either so maybe that dont help! sayin that tho, she dont put it in her mouth enough to suck lol!!
