hey everyone

I have now been trying for a baby for 2 and a half years and am starting to get really upset now  I keep seeing al these babies around with their proud mothers and just want to curl up and cry. I have just recently had my progesterone done and am stil waiting for my results which am very nervous about i also have slightly high testosterone but all the other polysistiv ovary tests I have had have come back fine, also my periods are pretty regular anything form 28-33 days. I have also just recently invested in the cheapy preggie tests and ovulation tests and my period is sue in about a week now but have been taking the tests evry few days and as soon as i see that horible negative line my heart sinks and i just think will it ever happen for me  I have an appointment finally with the gynecologist fertility thingy in October which will also make me feel better i think also feel really bad because oh's sper count is all fine so feel its all me and my fault sorry to be so down in dumps im usually quite possitive but some days i just get low and need to have a moan :( xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hey huni
I didnt wanna read and run, but there is a section in ttc section about cheap ovulation tests and ladies getting negitive on them but using more expensive ones on same wee sample and getting clear positives..

I too have never had a positive, i have had dark lines but not as dark as the control line.. after seeing that post and the pictures the lady has put on to prove it, i would defo now think its wise to invest in some decent ovulation tests maybe some clear blue ones..

I wish you luck with you appointment in Ocotober huni where you might get some answers..
xx

Anna, i know exactly how your feeling. I'm the one with the problem in our relationship too and sometimes i feel like i'm letting my DH down but i'm sure they don't think like that.

Its really good that you've got an appointment coming up so that could be the start of a new chapter. Have you been given any fertility drugs up to this point?

Do you use a temperature chart to check you have ovulated?

hey girls thanks for the worm replys means allot. And i hope that our oh's dont mind i have asked him before and hes like dont be silly but you cant hep feling down and the one to blame can you i try and think if the situation was reserved i would still love and care for my oh but i think there would be alittle level of frustration there and thats just me beeing totally honest so i dunno if they feel frustrated sometimes.

Also about a year ago i bought the ovulation tests like the 20 pound digital ones and i ovulated every month with them or so it said, and then basically i have just recently like a week ago bought the cheap one so havent used them yet as i know my period due in bout a wek or so i wont be ovulating now i have just used the preganncy ones which are the ones getting me down

Basically i went to the doctors 2 years ago there so ssos os so so slow and because i wwas like 24 then they were like young dont worry for agel i was like aghhhhh i wont be young much longer the rate youre taking lol and then my periods got a bit funny and i was like right thats not good so i went to radiology department and they said ohh it looks like u have a cyst on right and left ovary thats about 10mm and left last time i chequed was bout 3mm and they said this was so small that thers no need to take em off then i went to gynocologist who said basically that due to the fact ive put on weight i have put on bout 3 stone since beeing a student he said this is why u got superficial cysts so i was like have i got pcos and he said not on theblood tests no and then the only other test they have done since is my testosterone and some other hormone ones which all fine part from testosterone which was slightly raises she said and was like probly a sign of mild pcos so then they just did the progesterone one and now in oct im going to see a real fertility doctor they have refered me to finally after 2 nearly 3 years sorry its been such long reply lol xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

oh also have lost one stone in past month so hope that helps too :) xx

and have also bouth the basal body temp kit but havent started using it yet but will do from oct xx

I can imagine how you are feeling! I've been trying for over a year now. Started trying for a baby August last year, fell pregnant in October but had a MMC in December. The only thing that kept me going was the thought of trying again and fallen pregnant again within a few months - needless to say, this didn't happen! And it's now my 10th cycle since and nothing! Going for blood tests on Monday - should have gone today actually as it's CD21 but I think I ov'd late. My friends all seem to be falling pregnant and it's so difficult to have them around me on an almost daily basis!

On a brighter note, I went to Thorpe Park (theme park) today and not a pregnant woman in sight! Couldn't have been happier, especially as I went to Ikea yesterday and pregnant women everywhere!

I get upset how easy it seems for some people to fall pregnant and why I'm struggling so much. I hope you get some answers. At least you've started the ball rolling on getting tested. And my doctor said to me that most things, if anything wrong, are treatable. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you xxx

thanks hun :),

I feel alot better today at least things are finally beeing sorted out now, and also i have been pregnant before with a different partner while i was in my second year of university the partner was very abusive and i did what i thought was best at the time and had an abortion which was the toughest choice i ever made but looking back on it now i know it was the right one. This is why the doctors have taken so long to get me seen they say well at least we know you can get pregnant and im like yeah but i havent for nearly 3 years! I think we will all get our bfp we just have to be possitive but it is hard seeing friends with their babies and other ladies that seem to get pregnant so easilly. but what you have to remember is that the female body changes so much through the years i heard that women have the most problems during their most fertile times go figure!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hiya,I know exactly how you are feeling.Me and my hubby started Trying for a baby....17 months passed with no luck....I had my 21 day progesterone checks and It showed I wasnt ovulating,it was like being kicked in the guts, especially as I had just found out my sister was pregnant.
We got our appointment through to go to the fertility clinic, and we were due to go..I had another 21 day progesterone check and my level came back at 28..my previous levels had been 9,11,and 15.
That month I was late...I tested at 4 days late and got a positive. We were due to have our fertiltiy clinic appointment the following tuesday.
I hope you get the BFP you are waiting for soon....when you think all hope is lost it usually happens.
