Just being nosey and wondering if people are having gift lists?

All of my married friends have warned me to do one as the ones who didn't ended up with a lot of photo frames and kitchen sets lol.

Me and OH have decided to ask for thomas cook vouchers towards our honeymoon (going a few months after wedding when europe is warm lol). We are including this poem:

On this our special wedding day
we would just like to say
we have a house with contents too
so presents would not really do.

But if a gift you'd like to bring
a Thomas Cook voucher would be the thing.

We hope this will not cause offence
but in our case it makes more sense.

Obviously all that’s left to say, the most important thing is that you are there to share our special day.

We're not sure we're going for a poem, but just a little paragraph....

You being there to share our special day with us is the best gift we could receive. However, some people have expressed a wish to buy us a present to mark the occasion.
We do not expect anything, but if anyone wishes to give us a gift, then a monetary donation to our Honeymoon would be gratefully received, as we have already accumulated most things that we would put on a wedding list.

Yup, we are going for contributions to the honeymoon, charity donations, or vouchers for John Lewis/Debenhams. There will always be the older members of the family who would rather give you a gift though
