Girl Ultrasound?!

Hi ladies, I've recently had a gender scan and the sonographer said it was a girl pretty much straight away. He said he's looking for 3 lines like a hamburger and my baby had that and no signs of penis or scrotum. He then proceeded to show me the potty shot but then started just talking about one thick horizontal line which confirms it's a girl. He said he's 100% sure it's a girl and if I get told any different at my 20 weeks scan I have to go back and let him know and hell scan me for free. Anyhow I just don't feel confident that it's a girl the scan picture he printed is a side view so not obvious at all and the sonographer at my 13 week scan said he thought it was a boy I've kinda gone a bit crazy buying pink as I've already got a son so obviously it was amazing to be able to buy pink! I have attached my scan picture if anyone can shed some light on the "thick horizontal white line" that's also used to identify girls. She's also upside down to confuse matters and the scans also uploaded the wrong way round!!

How many weeks are you now? I don't get how he could tell from the side view easily, normally you'd look at the genital area! If it were me I'd wait until the 20w one before buying pink just in case xx

I'm 17 +5 now was 16+5 on the day of the scan, he had the baby in all sorts of positions just for some reason he printed me out the side view

This is my scan from a couple of weeks ago at 17 weeks. I'm having a girl and my whole family have gone pink crazy!!! I'm still worried I'll get to my scan next week and them say boy but I think it's clear she's a girl! They normally won't tell you unless they are sure, they'll get you to come back or say a percentage etc xxx

I know how you feel. When I was expecting DS, at the first scan we were told it's a girl and five weeks later it turned out to be a boy.
Well now the second time around I really want a girl. We went to a gender scan at 18 + 5 and the sonographer said it's a girl. I hardly can believe. I am so afraid to get disappointed next week when we have the anatomy scan. Here is our scan.

Oh dear! Was it a private gender scan you had first with your son that told you it was a girl? Obviously the gender is irrelevant as long as it's healthy I just don't want to have wasted lots of money on pink! I keep pestering my Boyf for another gender scan but the anomaly scan is in 2 weeks so I know it's best to wait I'm just so impatient! Just wish the sonographer gave me a better picture so I could feel more confident!

Yes, of course you are right the gender doesn't matter. If the baby is healthy I am fine with whatever.

Your doctor really didn't give you a good picture. How much more weeks or days until your next scan ?

2 weeks and 5 days! Feels like a lifetime away

Hope we both get the girlies we've been told, you grow attached to them as the sex you've been told, at the minute I can't imagine her being a boy.

If you're looking for comparison for what you saw on the screen this is my 20+6 anatomy scan- girl. I can't tell from your picture so I'm not much help in that way :/
