Hi Girls, I am getting such a headache as I am DESPERATE for a name for our boy! I thought it would be nice to decide on a name today to mark his viability and to help me bond a little more but after spending 2 hours trailing through yet more name lists I am still totally lost!!!

Obviously his brother is called Brandon so I want something that goes well with that. Previously we had done a poll on some names that have now all been ousted as we simply can't agree! OH loves Harvey, I just cant learn to like it, I love Kaden, Corey and Eric and he doesn't for some reason.....

We did like Jett but decided it was a bit too much.....Please help!!! :flower:

...Our last name is Lee and baby's middle name will be Thomas. Thank you! x

Sorry im useless really, but I really love
Harvey Thomas Lee :flower:

Seth Thomas Lee
David Thomas Lee
Daniel Thomas Lee
Harley instead of Harvey?

How about Brandon & Braedyn??

Greyson also came to mind -- and i love Caiden by the way!

Harley, as someone else suggested, sounds great too: Harley Thomas Lee

I do like Harvey Thomas Lee as do i like Jett Thomas Lee . Also like Max Thomas Lee as another poster suggested . More suggestions:-

Sonny Thomas Lee
Cole Thomas Lee
Lincoln Thomas Lee
Lennon Thomas Lee
Edward Thomas Lee
Joseph Thomas Lee
Logan Thomas Lee
Brodie/Brody Thomas Lee
Brady Thomas Lee
Louie Thomas Lee
Josh Thomas Lee

Thank you all for your suggestions ladies, there are some there that I have considered...

Joseph.........hubby doesn't like 'jo'
Logan..........cousins baby is called this
Lincoln...........looked on a site where people with the name write what they think of it and a few said they were called 'stinkin' Lincoln'
Jay............love this name i think it's quite sexy but worry about the 'gay jay' joke.....
Daniel/Danny..........no issues with this name other than the fact it may be too common?

As for Harvey (hubbys favourite) and Kaden (my favourite) we both dislike each others suggestion so have said that we will have to take these names off our list.
Jett was a name that had been thought of quite randomly and at the time we both went 'yeah!' but on reflection I imagine his teachers and older family members sneering their noses up and calling it an American name, personally I love American names..Corey especially but hubby wants to be slightly more traditional, old English style.

I found the name Oden last night and quite like it, I assumed hubby would because he has previously suggested Owen and Aiden but he just keeps saying he doesn't know...but I want to know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again girls, I really appreciate your suggestions, if you have any more let me know! x

I don't mean to offend, but I had a giggle once I realised it would've been Jett Lee...

Is this what put you off the name? xx

Kind of, it didn't bother us to begin with that it's the same as the actor but other people were saying 'you can't do that!!' especially because our other child has the same name as the legend that is, Brandon lee!!!

I don't know why but the first name that popped into my head was Jake? :)

I also like Oliver, Charlie, Samuel, Jacob, Caden, Toby, Nathan, Benjamin, and of course I love Thomas as a first name! :D

Thanks jaytee. I used to like the name Jake but my son has a Jake in his year who is a bit of a bully and I want the name to be as unique as possible to him.

Toby was suggested by my hubby the other day but not sure how well it ages?? Jacob I can't use because I used to take the piss out of someone at school and say 'Jacob's crackers' (nasty I know! ...I got my fair share of tongue lashing too though!)
Hubby said about just having Thomas as the first name but again, Brandon has a Thomas in his class and they all call him Thomas the tank engine which I don't think he likes very much!!! But is a must as a middle name because my grandad died around the same time I got pregnant and this was his name.
Will consider the other names, thanks again. x

I suppose the names Bruce and Ang are also off the table then? :flower:

How about Calvin? I think Calvin Lee goes quite well, otherwise do you and your OH both have something in common that you could take a name from? A shared favourite book or band or TV show or place that might help you decide on a name? Something from a song even.

One of the names we considered was Leger (pronounced like Heath Leadger) because we are both from Doncaster where the famous horse race is from and got married at the Grand St Leger Hotel.

If not Calvin then perhaps Dexter? Dexter Lee sounds really good too.

Thank you for your ideas Jody R, certainly something worth thinking about....

Leger is a really nice name, with such lovely sentiment for you.

I do like Calvin but name meanings mean a lot to me, and it means 'bald'! It shouldn't detract from the name but for some reason it does for me. I have been trying to find names that mean 'friend' (for Brandon) but have so far not found much.

I also like Dexter as does hubby, although I do walk to school with a mother whose dog is called this so that might be a little weird! x

The one name that has stayed since finding it is Blake, it means 'fair and bright' and as brandon is a little blondey I don't think this one will be dark haired so it works....

What do you all think??

Some of the names DH and I have thrown around are:

Spencer (I really like Spencer Thomas Lee)
Scott
Joshua
Joseph
Ethan
Adien
Adrien
Nathan

Hope they help in some way.

You're welcome :D I'm happy to try and help! Oh yeah I see what you mean isn't it frustrating when someone puts you off a nice name because of their personality! I definitely see what you mean about Toby I hadn't really thought about that, the oldest Toby I know is 19/20 though and I guess it suits him quite well.. Haha I'd never thought of Jacobs crackers! Ah Thomas sounds like the perfect middle name then!

xx

Thank you, I like Joseph which means 'God adds another', so a really nice meaning for us. I knew a Joshua and he was a BIG baby lol! Don't see his mother any more though so it is use able. Hubby has suggested Joshua also.
