Going crazy waiting for my next scan!

I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks but you could barely see anything at all, so now I still havent had another one and I dont have one for 4 more weeks! Im going crazy wanting to see my baby lol. I keep telling my husband I am nervous to get it since we havent seen the baby since it was a bean inside a sack. I am one of those constant worry warts, so I am nervous the baby wont have an arm or something random like that... Anyway, I just needed to vent cause I really wanna see my baby And I figured you ladies might understand better than my hubby who tells me to be patient.

i went crazy just waiting for my very first scan. it wasn't until 12 weeks!!
try not to worry, you will be very surprised how much your little wonder has grown in such a short time.

my dr. just checked my HCG levels twice and that was it.

I had 3 already because of bleeding and pains. Maybe it's different in the UK to the US?

I don't know what the medical service is like over there but here they give you scans if you have problems. I wanted them to do the hgc thing but they didn't do it

I'm having to wait too Dr says wk15 but I going to try and have one at wk12! I can't wait any longer

Well, I chose to have the IPS genetic test done, and the week 12 U/S is included in that, so it is probably because of that now that I think of it.

I order a doppler to listen to heart beat cant wait till its arrives to hear

I think things are just different over here in Ontario. I want to use a midwife and they won't even book your initial exam until 12 weeks! I've decided to see my MD prior to the initial midwife appointment, I at least want to know that the kid has a heartbeat! and I'd like to know before 12 weeks. I guess I'm just really impatient. My MD appointment is booked for next week (6 weeks 3 days) and I've been told that I won't get an ultrasound until 2 weeks after that. All this waiting is enough to drive a hormonal woman mad.

I know how u feel ladies! I had my first scan at 9 weeks and we could see the head, 2 arms and legs but not in great detail. I was so worried while waiting for my second scan, I thought of all the different things that might go wrong. It's only natural but you try not to worry too much, I'm sure lil bub is just fine. The time will fly by quickly anyway! I feel like I just went for my 1st scan yesterday.

I have a doppler too to listen to babys heartbeat, that is fun, especially if you have a day when you are worrying a little more its reassuring to listen But its not the same as seeing your baby... Its fun to hear the heart beat, but its such a reassurance to see its whole body and heart beating and baby moving!

Im glad Im not the only one who is dieing to have their next scan!

I hope the doppler comes tomorrow i cant wait to hear babys heart beat, i am counting down the days till my next scan which is in 31 days soooooo long, and my midwife is week later . so all this time to wait. I would go mad if it that i wasnt getting a doppler

Is a doppler one of those pad things you put on your stomach and you get two sets of ear phones?

I know exactly how you feel, time seems to go ultra slow if your waiting for an U/S but hopefully chatting with us and everyday things will make time fly. Hang in there!

Jules, My Doppler is just like the one they use at the doc office. It has a probe connected to a cord that connects to speakers... then you put ultrasound gel on the probe and move it around until you hear the heartbeat. Although Im sure there are different kinds.

I had mine at 10 weeks. They couldn't get me in any earlier...I was glad though because I could see more. He or She was moving around...it was really amazing! I have to wait 4 weeks for another ultrasound myself and that's when I get to find out the gender! I think through the holidays though...it will fly by.
