Hi everyone. I just wanted to post some good news. Since the beginning of my pregnancy I have been somewhat of a nervous wreck, what with all the 'advice' from medical professionals on my "advanced maternal age" and what 'complications' may arise due to the fact that my eggs are 41 years OLD. I have worried about heart defects, down syndrome and a host of other issues due to my age and my decision to keep my beautiful miracle baby. I have turned down all of the expensive 'risk analysis' testing that I felt would do nothing for me but make me worry more (false positive's). And yesterday, it was confirmed that my beautiful baby girl is completely NORMAL, she has no heart defects, no abnormalities, doesn't show any signs of down's syndrome or any other problems. All of her measurements are spot on and I am just through the moon bursting with happiness. I just wanted to post that here for all the other older mom's like me who worry themselves sick due to of the risks and society's general ill will towards older mom's.
