After having such a crappie time with my in laws july has turned out to be a perfect month but august is going to be better!

We found out a few weeks ago we are on team pink! We are naming her layla daphine, such a perfect name for a princess I think lol

But on the other hand we now have three children been diagnosed with deafness (I'm deaf myself) the last few months we have been undergoing tests etc for our second oldest to receive the cochlear implant, just found out today his surgery is 21st august!!! I'm so excited for him!!

Totally random but I just wanted to share my good news!

congratulations hun!!!! That is very exciting! I hope everything works out very well and what a beautiful name!!!! We found out last week that we are team blue but we had picked Layla for a girl and im so in love with that name

Hi.

What a beautiful name you have name your baby girl!

Just read and you said your oldest son to receive a CI - I am a CI receipt myself as I was born profoundly deaf and was wondering where you are from?

Xx

Yeah he get two cochlear implants I'm profoundly deaf as well I have 3 children that are deaf, we all went deaf between the age of 3-4 and have a fast loss except my daughter whom is slow loss genetic testing says it not genetic lol. We are in new Zealand 😀

Wow congrats On you baby girl :) im partially deaf i use hearing aids i was diagnosed with glue ear at thr age of 2 and have had alot of operations but unfortunately ive been slowly looseing my hearing, i worried about my childre inheriting my hearing problems but luckily they Didnt

Im so happy for your son to get his op i hope everything goes well for him :)

Wow that's so awesome for your son, I think it's great you are able to do that for him, I've seen a documentary that shows that the deaf really do have their own culture which I could understand why, but some of them refuse to get the implants because they feel like it means they aren't proud to be deaf...but I'm sure it would also be different to lose your hearing at 3 or 4 rather than to just be born deaf because it would be so hard to understand and learn a new language!
Beautiful name for your daughter btw!

Congrats on your baby girl! And fab news for your son!! :)

Awesome congratulations it's always good to hear good news
