Got an appointment for a stretch & sweep

19th June with an induction to follow in the event it is unsuccessful. Bye bye pain (I hope) and hello beautiful baby girl. Will be counting down the hours!

How come ou have an appointment booked already? My midwife said she will pop and do a sweep if I haven't popped by 40weeks but nothing bout booking? X

Because my large uterus has bowed out my ribs and I am in a lot of pain. They want her out at around 38 weeks so I can be treated

Oh dear! Do they know what caused it?

Apparently slight bowing is common but because of my hypermobility I've bowed too far and torn and bruised. It should ease once she is born but if it doesn't I'll get steroids and such to calm it down x

Oh geez! I'm hypermobile too. It sounds painful. 3 weeks even sounds like a long time with that!

Hopefully you'll avoid it. I've got a very short torso and the baby's lie isn't helping either. It started at around 30 weeks as a dull ache so keep an eye out but you'll probably be fine x
