Also, if you take too much metformin - it can drop your blood sugar to a dangerously low rate. That can cause issues breathing, shaking, you can get extremely fatigued - so if you are going to change the dosage on your own without dr knowledge .... I'd check into getting a blood sugar monitor so you can at least make sure you don't drop your blood sugar to a level where it will land you in the hospital. Gotta remember, metformin is a diabetes medication - it can be very serious stuff. <3
