Gripe water

Dont know if this is the right place to post but can't see anywhere else to put it...

I've bought some gripe water for when Ava is 1 month and the side of the box says "discard contents after 14days" the bottle is huge surely this can't be right?! What a waste!

I think it's because it doesn't contain any preservatives, we throw it away after 2 weeks.
It would prob be ok but I'm too paranoid!
