I buy the cupcake cases from the specialists shops. They usually come in packets of 40 and in a clear plastic packet (not in a tube) the trouble is, I open the packet, use the cases put them back in the cupboard and when I go to use them again they have lost their shape and don't fit in the muffin tin properly. I'm fed up of having to throw the cases out cus they are not cheap! I think I'm goin to start tieing elastic bands around them to keep them tight . Was just wondering if anyone had a solution to rectify this? Lol I bought a new pack of really cute cases, used 12 of them and the rest have sagged :dohh: I just can't face throwing anymore out! :flower:

Mines kinda "bounce" on each hole- do you mean they won't sorta, stay in?

I know what u mean, if I put mine in the bakin tin and weigh them don't with batter, normally it worms fine. But when I use the cases that have have sagged they don't retain their shape iykwim? Like they start to fold in on theselves or sumthin. That probably doesn't make much sense lol

I can't say I've ever had that issue, but I've only ever bought supermarket ones? X

That's what I mean by the sagging when their out of the packet
Then they just look shit if I put them into the bun tray lol

Ah yes... I've just had a dodgy lot like that of late too! No idea but winds me up!

The best ones i like are morrisons own black and white cases.

Ah we don't have a Morrisons in NI :( I've learnt my lesson now but I just hate throwing them out its such a waste! X

I use a silicon muffin tray and the cases are really tight when I put them in so I have no sagging.

Yeah i had that trouble with a few pink ones i got that werent packed tight they just got looser and looser down the lot and when i squeeze them into my silicone moulds they all fold in and crease, i think the elastic band idea might work, its deffo worth a try at least!

Get your cases from Purple Cupcakes on Facebook. She has great cases.
