Bethan has been in BG V3's for about 3 months now, and all her inserts are looking seriously grubby. I hadn't noticed until I bought some new ones the other day, but they really do look pretty ropey.

Any ideas on getting them looking (and feeling) nicer again? I use wash balls and nappy cleanser, and wash on 40.

I bleach mine (it's on the BG website that it's ok to do this). Harsh, I know, but it gets rid of the smell build up as well. Though they never come out looking like new. (I recently found some of my unused newborn inserts and almost fell over at how different they look to my knackered ones.)

I'd rather do it the natural way and sun bleach, but I don't have outside drying space.

i've been able to line dry mine outside recently and have done a strip wash before only using soapnuts and they are much softer and brighter than they were !
